Tender Notice.

1. Sealed tenders in two parts are invited for Renovation of Banking Hall, Counters and Back office. The work is estimated to cost approximatelyRs.89.52 lakh and is to be completed within six months.

2. Only those contractors who have minimum 5 years of experience in the field of undertaking similar interior works and civil works have executedtwo or more similar works individually costing not less than Rs.44.79 lakh during last three years and have a minimum yearly turn over of Rs.27lakh (30% of the estimated cost put to the tender) during the last 3 years, will be eligible to tender for the work.

3. The tender forms will be issued only to those contractors who invariably furnish, at the time of applying for purchase of tender forms, the followinginformation in writing/documents to satisfy the Bank about their eligibility for participating in the tendering process.

(a) Composition of the firm Full particulars (whether contractor is an individual, or apartnership firm or a company etc.) Composition of the firm ofcontractors in detail should be submitted along with the namesand addresses of the partners, copy of the Articles ofAssociation/power of Attorney/any other relevant document.

(b) Work experience andcompletion of similar worksof specified value during thespecified period.

Copies of the detailed work orders indicating date of award,value of awarded work, time given for completing the work,etc. and the corresponding completion certificates indicatingactual date of completion and actual value of similar worksexecuted should be enclosed in proof of the work experience.

The details along with documentary evidence of previousexperience, if any, of carrying out works for the Reserve Bankof India at any centre should also be given.

(c) Creditworthiness of thecontractor and their Turnover during the specifiedperiod

Copies of the Income Tax Clearance Certificates/Income TaxAssessment orders along with latest final accounts of thebusiness of the contractor duly certified by a CharteredAccountant should be enclosed in proof of theircreditworthiness and turnover for last three years.

(d) Service Set-up Certificate from the manufacturers/any other valid document insupport of having a full fledged setup at the desired placeshould be enclosed (if required).

(e) Name(s) and address(es) ofthe Bankers and theirpresent contract executives.

Written information about the names and addresses of theirbankers along with full details, like postal addresses, e-mailIds, telephone (landline and mobile) Nos., fax No.etc of thecontact executives (i.e. the persons who can be contacted atthe office of their bankers in case it is so needed) shall befurnished.

(f) Details of bank accounts Full particulars of their bank accounts, like account No., typewhen opened. etc. should be given.

g) Name(s) and address(es) ofthe Clients and their presentcontact executives.

Written information about the names and addresses of theirclients postal addresses, e-mail Ids, telephone (landline andmobile) Nos., fax No. etc. of the contact executive (i.e. thepersons who can be contacted at the office of their clients incase it is need) should be furnished.

h) Details of completed works The client-wise names of work(s), year(s) of execution of

work(s), award and actual costs of executed work(s),completion time stipulated in the contract(s) and actual timetaken to complete the works, names and full contact details ofthe officers/authorities/departments under whom the workswere executed should be furnished.

4, In the event of intending tenderer's failure to satisfy the Bank; the Bank reserves the right to refuse issuance of tender forms/documents to them.

5. Tender forms will be issued from 8-11-2006 to 29-11-2006 on a non-refundable payment of Rs.3,000/- per set by Demand Draft favouring of theRegional Director, Reserve Bank of India, payable at Hyderabad.

6.The tender document can also be downloaded from the Reserve Bank's web site www.rbi.org.in. In case of down loaded documents, the said non-refundable sum of Rs.3,000/- in the form of Demand Draft favouring Reserve Bank of India payable at Hyderabad along with all theinformation/documents, mentioned in para 3 above, will have to be submitted in a sealed cover addressed by name to Shri R.Gandhi, RegionalDirector, Reserve Bank of India, Secretariat Road, Saifabad, Hyderabad upto 3.00 PM on 30-11-2006 for Bank's examination. These sealedcovers shall be opened on the same day for scrutiny. After scrutiny, if any of the contractors is not found to posses the required eligibility, theirtenders will not be opened by the Bank for further processing.

7. Tender in prescribed form shall be submitted in two parts. Part-I tender will contain the Bank's standard technical and commercial conditions forthe proposed work, tenderer's covering letter, tenderers' additional conditions, if any, and the EMD of Rs.1,79,000/- in the form of an irrevocablebank guarantee issued by a scheduled bank in the Bank's standard proforma which is available in the tender form or a demand draft favouringReserve Bank of India payable at Hyderabad and be sealed (in duplicate) in one cover, superscribing "Part - I Tender for Renovation of bankinghall, counters and back office works". Both (Part I and Part II in duplicate) these sealed covers will further be sealed in another envelope addressedby name to Shri R.Gandhi, Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India, Secretariat Road, Saifabad, Hyderabad will be received by the Bank upto 3.00p.m. on30-11-2006 in the manner described in the tenderer form.

8. Part I of the tenders will be opened at 4.00 p.m. on 30-11-2006 in the presence of the authorized representative of the tenerers who choose tobe present. Part II of the tender will be opened on a subsequent date which will be intimated to the tender in advance.

9. The Bank shall obtain reports on past performance of the tenderer from his clients and bankers. The Bank shall evaluate the said reports beforeopening of the Part - II of the tenders. If any tenderer is not found to posses the required eligibility for participating in the tendering process at anypoint of time and/or his performance reports received from his clients and/or his bankers are found unsatisfactory, the Bank reserves the right toreject his offer even after opening of Part I of the tender and his sealed cover containing Part II of the tender along with EMD shall be returned backto him as it is. The Bank is not bound to assign any reason for doing so.

10. The Bank is not bound to accept the lowest tender and reserves the right to accept either in full or in part any tender. The Bank also reservesthe right to reject all the tenders without assigning any reason therefor.

Reception Counter : To be made using 19mm thick BWR grade plywood(conforming to IS-303 of 1989) for the structure. The counter shall have dual table

tops from the customer's side . All top surfaces shall be fixed with 18mm thick granite slab

as per the approval of the Architect/Bank's Engineer. Vertical supports shall be given

below the table top at every 4' running length of the counter. The granite tops shall be with

a width of 2'-0" at staff working top at 2'6" height and 1'3" wide at 3'6" height.The granite tops at two levels shall project out of the counter facia by 6". This projection in the granite

slabs shall be supported by 19mm thick BWR grade plywood(conforming to IS-303 of

1989), cut to shape, fixed to the counter. The edge of the granite shall be built up to an

additional thickness of 19mm covering the visible edge of the base plywood top. The

double thicknesss of the granite slabs shall be moulded to shape and design indicated duly polished. All external exposed surfaces of the counter shall be fixed with 1.5mm thick

laminate of approved shade and design, in combination of three colors as per design and all

internal surfaces painted with 1 coat of primer and 2 coats of enamel paint over two coats

of lappam with necessary surface preparations, complete for finished item of work.

Opening has to be provided in the counter at one side with a width of 2' for the access for

staff members. Necessary vertical and horizontal flap door arrangements shall be made for

this portion, camafloaging the access door into the counter. The length at the center of the

counter top only to the extent of the working top shall be considered for measurement

purposes. The length of the open access flap door shall not be considered for measirement.

The item has to be completed in all aspects including cost & conveyance of all materials,

labour charges etc complete as directed by the Architect / Banks Engineer .

PAD & DAD Counters : (Vertical Supports - Double skinned partition, Base Structure - 19mm thick Plywood, Table top - Granite slab, ) The vertical supports beneath the counter top

shall be a double Skined partition, made with a frame work of Boral make 51mm x 35mm metal

studs at 2'-0" c/c for the horizontal members and 51mm x 32mm metal tracks at every 2'-0"c/c for

the verticals with joints staggered to avoid through joints. The frame work shall then be fixed with

6mm thick BWR grade plywood (conforming to IS-303 of 1989) on either sides. All exposed

external surfaces shall be pasted with 1.5mm thick laminate of approved shade and design in

combination of three colors, and internal surfaces to be painted in one coat of primer and two coats

of enamel paint over lappam finish with necessary surface preparations. The necessary provision

for passing of electrical race ways (two Nos) through the partition at skirting level and table top

(bottom) level shall be part of the work.Base structure of the Counter/work stations shall be made

using 19mm BWR grade plywood (conforming to IS-303 of 1989). Additional Vertical supports

shall be provided using 19mm thick plywood under the working top at the chamfered portions to

take additional load of the granite slabs. 18mm thick Granite slab shall be fixed on the top of the

19mm thick plywood (Granite basic price - Rs 130/- per sft) . The edges of the granite slab shall be

bevelled (bull nose) on to the customer's side and half rounded on to the staff side, thoroughly

polished. The staff working top shall be 2'9" wide. The granite slabs on the top shall be in three

pieces cut as per shape of the work stations/ counters and fixed on the base plywood structure with

least visible joints.The counter facia shall be fixed with a trapezium shaped element made using

12mm thick BWR grade plywood(conforming to IS-303 of 1989) fixed with 1.5mm thick laminate

on all external surfaces. Two of such element shall be fixed on facia of either side of each

counter.The item has to be completed in all respects including cost & conveyance of all materials,

labour charges etc complete as directed by the Architect / Banks Engineer . The table working top

area in sft is considered for all measurement purposes.

SECTION AT X-X'Segregation privacy panels in between the PAD and DAD counter : To be made as per the circular design (3/4th part of circle and semicircles ) Frame work shall be made using Boral make

51mm x 35mm metal studs at 2'-0" c/c and 51mm x 32mm metal tracks at 2'-0" c/c with joints staggered to

avoid through joints. The rate should also include necessary strengthening with studs / tracks or channels at

openings and bending the frame work as per curvelienar design, fixed with 6mm thick BWR grade plywood

(conforming to IS-303 of 1989) ) on either sides and edge, pasted with interior grade Alluminium Composite

panel, 3mm thick, on all the visible surfaces of the partition. The element shall be fixed on the working top of

the counters. The partition shall have pocket openings of 6"x6" as shown in the drawings, fixed with 8mm

stain glass as per design. The glass shall be inserted into the partition and there shall be no beading for the

glass fixing. The composite panel shall be bent and fixed on the edges of the pockets cut for fixing of the

glass panels to act as beading for holding the glass in place.Care shall be taken to see that no cut edges of

composite panels are visible. The item has to be completed in all respects including cost & conveyance of all


Façade glass enclosure above the PAD and DAD counter : Facia above the PAD and DAD counter tops : To be in a combination of MS grill and 12mm thick clear glass . Each counter length shall have two grills

of size 9"x2'4" on either sides fixed on the granite top and supported by the privacy panels (Item No 6) on sides. The

length in between the grills shall be fixed with 12mm thick glass supported by "D" brackets and "L" angles welded to

the extenal frame. The glass shall be in two pieces with intermediate gap of 3" for conversation between the staff and

customers. The bottom glass shall have a segmented arch opening of 1' width and 4.5" height for transaction and the top

edge of the upper glass shall be cut in the curved shape with exposed edges of the glass, mirror polished. The grill shall

be fabricated using 1/2" patty with thickness of 5mm for the frame and the ornamental design inside using 8mm thick

round rods as per design, powdercoated as per the color scheme as suggested by the Architects/ Bank's Engineers,

complete for finished item of work. the grill shall be fixed to the partition and table top using screws and necessary

hardware. Two no.s of grills of size 9"x2'4" shall be welded together with a gap of 3" using MS flat only on the top

edge,shall be fixed in position from the top of segregation panel to attain better fixity and strength.

Cash Counters (Both straight and curved length counters) : (Vertical Supports - Double skinned partition, Base Structure - 19mm thick Plywood, Table top (dual top) - Granite slab ) The front side vertical support (upto height of 3'6") beneath the counter top shall be a double Skined partition, made with a frame work of Boral make 51mm x 35mm metal studs at 2'-0" c/c for the horizontal members and 51mm x 32mm metal tracks at

every 2'-0"c/c for the verticals with joints staggered to avoid through joints. In case of vertical support for the curved counters, horizontal frame work shall be using 2.5" wide planks of 35mm thick WWR Grade-2 MDF board

(conforming to IS-12406 of 2003)(double thickness) cut to shape in the curvilenear pattern of the partition and the verticals shall be same as mentioned above. The frame work shall then be fixed with 6mm thick BWR grade

plywood (conforming to IS-303 of 1989) on either sides. All exposed external surfaces shall be pasted with 1.5mm thick laminate of approved shade and design in combination of three colors, and internal surfaces to be painted in

one coat of primer and two coats of enamel paint over lappam finish with necessary surface preparations. The necessary provision for passing of electrical race ways (two Nos) through the partition at skirting level and table top

(bottom) level shall be part of the work. The Running counter shall have dual tops, one at 2'6" height from the staff side and one at 3'6" at the customer's side. Base structure of the Counter shall be made using 19mm thick BWR

grade plywood (conforming to IS-303 of 1989). The vertical supports shall be positioned as per the counter layout and additional supports usnign 18mm thick plywood shall be provided in between the counter length where ever the

individual counter length exceeds 4' length. 18mm thick Granite slab shall be fixed on the top of the counter at both 2'6" height and 3'6" height. (Granite basic price - Rs 130/- per sft). The staff working top shall be 2'9" wide and the

customer top shall be 1'6" wide with a slit opening in the center of each counter fixed with plain glass for enabling vision of cash counting for the customers. The edges of the granite slab shall be bevelled (bull nose) on to the

customer's side and half rounded on to the staff side, thoroughly polished. Both the granite tops shall be supported by 18mm thick BWR grade plywood(conforming to IS-303 of 1989) as base. The counter facia shall be fixed with a

trapezium shaped element made using 12mm thick BWR grade plywood. Two of such element shall be fixed on facia of either side of each counter. Openings of size 1'6" x 9" shall be made in the vertical support partition in

between the customer and the staff working top surfaces to enable cash transaction with pivoted tray arrangement. Necessary additional supports at the edges and required arrangements for fixing of pivots shall be part of the job. All

external exposed surfaces shall be fixed with 1.5mm thick laminate, and all internal surfaces to be painted in one coat of primer and two coats of enamel paint over lappam finish with necessary surface preparations .The item has to

be completed in all respects including cost & conveyance of all materials, labour charges etc complete as directed by the Architect / Banks Engineer .

Facade Polycarbonate sheet Enclosure for the Cash Counters:Facade Polyarmour sheet enclosure for the cash counters in the Straight length : Design, Fabrication and Installation of POLYARMOUR facades for cash counters using LEXAN Margard sheet of 6mm thick,silicon hard coated and abrasion

resistant. The sheet shall be bent to shape by Cold Bending as per the angle indicated in the drawing and fixed with BURGLAR Resistant Polyklad Aluminum

Section of WICTEC 13502 A/ WICTEC 135024 section of size 50mm x 50mm x 2mm (alluminium dry glazing), bent to shape of the facade, with metal spacer duly

powder coated and fitted to table top counters with necessary brackets and hardware. The sheets shall be fixed using pressure plate using Cold Forged Self Drilling

Screws with washers. The bottom piece shall stand vertically above the customer top of the counter till a height of 1'6" and top portion of sheet shall be inclined

towards staff area to reach a height of 8'-6" as indicated in the drawing.The frame work shall be made on the facade using Burglar resistant facades of WICTEC

13502 A/ WICTEC 135024 of poly clad structural 1002 of size 50mm x 50mm x 2mm, and fixed to the edge face of the intermediate partitions between the cash

counters and segregation panels within the counters. Sections shall be fixed to counter and to the partition using screws and necessary hardware.The bottom edge of

polycarbonate sheets shall run in a aluminium extrusion of poly clad structural 1002 section of WICTEC 135021 of size 31.5mmx50mm, fixed horizontally along

the length of edge of polycarbonate sheet above the counter top surface, duly making a groove inside the top 18mm thick plywood member at 3'-6" height. The

granite slabs with the width of 1'-6" to be placed on the customer top shall be cut into 2 pieces and fixed on the plywod counter top from either side of the

polycarbonate sheet sturcture. All the Aluminium sections shall be powder coated (matt finish).Resistance has be attained as per Class-3 of DIN V ENV 1627 via.

additional safety measures in transom profile , satefy parts in pressure profiles and by screwing through the first cavity of mullion profiles. Construction depth shall

be in accordance with WICTEC 50/60 standard facades.The item has to be completed in all respects including cost & conveyance of all materials, labour charges etc

complete as directed by the Architect / Banks Engineer .

surfaces shall be fixed with 12mm thick beech wood beading

and polished in melamine finish. All accessories like the

Hardwyn (gazel) door closer, door stopper , hinges, godrej

night latch etc, shall be part of the job. Including cost &

conveyance of all materials, labour charges etc complete as

directed by the Architect / Banks Engineer or finished item of

work as per drawing .

IS-303 of 1989) on the either sides fixed with 1.5mm thick laminate of approved shade and design in a combination of three colors.The transparant surfaces

shall be fixed with 8mm thick toughned glass pasted with sticker of etching/frosted design. Frame work shall be made so as to accommodate wooden beading

design on the ends of partition length of each counter (cabin) with a width of 1'3". Beachwood beading of size 3/4"x3/4" shall be fixed on either sides as per

design .The shutters for the partitions shall be 35mm thick BWR grade flush doors, with a opening for clear 6mm thick glass in the center as shown in the

preparations. The necessary provision for passing of electrical race ways (two Nos) through the partition at skirting level and table top

(bottom) level shall be part of the work. The Running counter shall have dual tops, one at 2'6" height from the staff side and one at

3'6" at the customer's side. Base structure of the Counter shall be made using 19mm thick BWR grade plywood (conforming to IS-303

of 1989). The vertical supports shall be positioned as per the counter layout and additional supports usnign 19mm thick plywood shall

be provided in between the counter length where ever the individual counter length exceeds 4' length. 18mm thick Granite slab shall

be fixed on the top of the counter at both 2'6" height and 3'6" height. (Granite basic price - Rs 130/- per sft). The staff working top

shall be 2'9" wide and the customer top shall be 1'6" wide with a slit opening in the center of each counter fixed with plain glass for

enabling vision of cash counting for the customers. The edges of the granite slab shall be bevelled (bull nose) on to the customer's side

and half rounded on to the staff side, thoroughly polished. Both the granite tops shall be supported by 19mm thick BWR grade

plywood(conforming to IS-303 of 1989) as base. The counter facia shall be fixed with a trapezium shaped element made using 12mm

thick BWR grade plywood. Two of such element shall be fixed on facia of either side of each counter. Openings of size 1'6" x 9"

shall be made in the vertical support partition in between the customer and the staff working top surfaces to enable cash transaction

with pivoted tray arrangement. Necessary additional supports at the edges and required arrangements for fixing of pivots shall be part

of the job. All external exposed surfaces shall be fixed with 1.5mm thick laminate, and all internal surfaces to be painted in one coat

of primer and two coats of enamel paint over lappam finish with necessary surface preparations .

The partition shall have pocket openings of 6"x6" as shown in the drawings, fixed with

8mm stain glass as per design. The glass shall be inserted into the partition and there shall

be no beading for the glass fixing. The composite panel shall be bent and fixed on the

edges of the pockets cut for fixing of the glass panels, complete for finished item of

work.Care shall be taken to see that no cut edges of composite panels are visible. The item

has to be completed in all respects including cost & conveyance of all materials, labour

charges etc complete as directed by the Architect / Banks Engineer .

floor and the adjacent columns. The partition shall have pocket openings of 6"x6"

as shown in the drawings, fixed with 8mm thick stain (multi-colored) glass as per

design. The glass shall be inserted into the partition and there shall be no beading

for the glass fixing. The laminate shall be fixed on the edges of the pockets cut for

fixing of the glass panels. The visible edges of the partition shall be fixed with

beachwood beading cut to shape and curve on the top and the vertical edges of the

partition, projecting out by 1/2" on either sides, polished in melamine finish,

Suspended Ceiling Design element in front of the cash counters : To be made with a

frame work of 18mm thick BWR grade plywood (conforming to IS-303 of 1989) for the

verticals at a grid of 1'6"x1'6" and a height of 6". The bottom edge of the plywood shall be cut

in the shape of a curve as shown in the drawings, and 8mm thick flexi-plywood shall be fixed

to the plywood frame box structure from below. The flexi-ply shall then be fixed with 3mm

thick alluminium composite panel - interior grade along the curved pattern with the required

groove pattern as per design. Necessary openings shall be made for inclusion of spot lights in

the bottom sheets. The upper surfaces shall be painted with one coat of primer and two coats of

enamel paint over two coats of lappam with necessary surface preparations. The design

suspended element thus made shall be suspended from the existing roof slab using chain link.

The visible length of the chain link below the false ceiling shall be with 8mm diameter SS
