Research project and interest My research mainly focuses on the microbes and biochemistry of dengue vector-Aedes mosquitoes, ecotoxicology and environmental safety particular on insecticides, and the ongoing research is computational biology that involves applying machine learning and modeling on the dengue vector population. Future research direction would extend to more microbiology of dengue vector, for example how the microbes play role in the insecticides resistance, detection of dengue virus in the vectors (Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus) before the outbreak, and the interaction between the dengue virus and vectors.
