This course is organised for those involved in animal science research. The course will provide theoretical and computational skills to design experimental research in animal science. The basic concepts in conducting scientific research and experimental designs will be discussed. The course encompasses designing of experiments by applying the principles of scientific experimentation and the appropriate experimental design, focusing on four common experimental designs used in animal science research, data management and statistical analysis of data from the different experimental designs. Participants will get hands-on practice in data entry and data analysis using MS Excel and SAS in computer laboratory sessions. They shall also gain understanding on the interpretation of the results generated.
