Contents page analysis 1

The house style for this magazine can be found mainly within the mastheads and the colours. The “NME” masthead is re-used on the contents page, and the same colours of red black and white are kept. The same typeface is used too and the plain background is kept.

Contents page analysis 2

On this magazine, the colours red, white and black are repeated across the pages. Although the mastheads on the contents page are different to the one on the front cover, the rest of the typefaces are the same. Some of the colours are even repeated in the pictures. There are also images on the front which relate to images on the contents page.

Creating a house style for my student magazine

My contents page will have the same background and typeface as my front cover. I will also keep titles in a similar style.

The typeface I’ll use will be Blackadder ITC The colour scheme is purple, white, red and

black. The contents page masthead will follow the

same style as the one on the front cover.
