DACAAR invites experienced interested individuals& companies for the construction work of oneComplete Set of 20m3 RCC Elevated Water Tank inBazidkhail Village, Kama District of NangarharProvince.

The offers must be submitted to DACAAR MainOffice Logistics Unit located in (Street No. 12,Taimani Project, Qala-e-Fathullah, Kabul Province)till 4:00 PM November 03, 2019.

The bid opening session will be held on November04, 2019 at 10:30 A.M in DACAAR Main Office,Kabul Province and the bid winner will be notifiedshortly after the bid opening session.

Please use Annex (III) for Technical specification,Annex (II) for Work Plan and Annex (I) for financialpurposes.

Terms and Conditions for the bidwinner/participation

1. Contractor must accomplish constructionactivities of one Elevated Water Tank inBazidkhail Village, Kama District of NangarharProvince and hand over to DACAAR.

2. The mentioned water tank should be completedas soon as possible, In case you cannot completethe contract during mentioned period, pleasewrite down your own time period for completionof the required task.

3. Prices shall be given in Afghanis (AFN)including all duties and transport of equipmentsneeds for construction of water tank plus loading& unloading costs. Offers without sign andstamp will not be accepted.

4. The bid winner must deposit 10% amount oftotal contract value to DACAAR bank accountas a Contract Performance Guarantee beforesigning the genuine contract and it is refundableafter successful completion of the project/work.

5. Payment will be made within 15 official daysafter successful completion of the work/ projectand confirmation of DACAAR technical team.

6. In case of delay in construction work of watertank, 0.5% of total value of the contract will bededucted from the payment as penalty. Thispenalty will be charged per each day of delay.

7. DACAAR’s technical team will check allspecifications of water tank. If it is not accordingto DACAAR given specifications, DACAARreserves the right to reject the water tank/work.

8. Quotations should be valid for 60 official days.

9. The contractor will give one year guarantee, ifthe water tank faces any leakages, fall down orany other problems, the contractor will repair itwithout any charges.

10. 2% Tax will be applicable on the companies thathave valid business license and 7% Tax will beapplicable on the companies that have invalidbusiness license, or on individuals who do nothave business license, will be deducted from thecontractor as a withholding tax and DACAARwill pay that amount to Ministry of Finance, theamount starts from (1 AFN).

11. Transportation and provision of constructionmaterials without water will be DACAAR’sresponsibility, but the arrangement of all tools,skilled and unskilled labour is contractor'sresponsibility.

12. DACAAR does not accept sub-contract, in caseit is found that the contractor has given thecontract to sub-contracting party, the contractwill be automatically terminated and thecontractor will lose their contract performanceguarantee without any compensation.

13. Award of the contract will be based on thequality, price, capacity & potentiality of bidderthat will be decided after evaluation of thevendor/product and service. It is the right ofDACAAR to make the decision of contractaward.

14. DACAAR (Logistics Unit) adheres to Nationaland International laws on child labourDACAAR makes sure all its vendors abide bysuch laws preventing child labour in allDACAAR activities countrywide.

Construction Work of One Complete Set of 20m3 RCC Elevated Water Tank in Bazidkhail Village, Kama District of Nangarhar Province:

Parties's responsibilities:

1. DACAAR has the responsibility to provide all construction materials,consisting of steel, cement, sand, gravel, isogaom, steel tubes forstairs, GI pipes etc.

2. All physical activities including provision of water should be done bythe contractor.

3. Height of water tank is 14.09 meter from ground surface level to topof the water tank roof.

4. Design of water tank had already been given, and the contractor has toperform all activities according to DACAAR Field Engineer directsupervision and instruction.

5. Provision of water for curing and mortar is the responsibility of thecontractor.

6. All metal/wildings works, construction of RCC elevated water tankbased on bill of quantity and drawings are the responsibility of thecontractor.
