NCACIT Overview About NCACIT-2018:

Department of Computer Engineering and Information Technology had organized

NCACIT-2018 on 9th and 10th February 2018 at D. Y. Patil College of Engineering, Talegaon,

Pune, Maharashtra. NCACIT -2018 was sponsored by SPPU and grant of RS. 1, 60,000/-

was sanctioned by the university under QIP scheme. NCACIT-2018 received the enormous

response in the form of more than 130 + technical papers all over India. The selected

papers were published in the proceeding of IJEEBS (International journal of Emerging

Trends in Engineering and Basic Sciences) with ISSN No: 2349-6967.

About NCACIT -2018: With the overwhelming response of NCACIT-2018 Department of Computer

Engineering and Information Technology had organized Second National conference on

"Advancements in Computer and Information Technology" at D. Y. Patil College of

Engineering, Talegaon, Pune, and Maharashtra on 9th and 10th February 2018 in association

with Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), Pune, India and International Journal of

Computer Application (IJCA), New York, USA.

Aim of the Conference was to provide a world class platform to researchers to share

the research findings by experimental evaluation. Students, Academicians, Researcher can

use output of the conference for enhancing academic and research activities. NCACIT-18

also provided dais to encourage researchers to identify significant research issues in

identified areas, in the field of Computer Engineering and Information Technology.

Conference helped to dissemination of their work through publications in an international

journal like IJCA. The papers selected by IJCA will be published with IJCA and other papers

will be publishes in NCACIT-2018

Highlight of the NCACIT-2018: 1. Department of Computer Engineering and Information Technology takes the pride to

state that NCACIT-2018 was reached to more than 10,000 people through the social medias

like Face book and Twitter Nationally as well as Internationally with this effort we received

participants from all over India.

2. NCACIT-2018 was time-honored by various eminent academicians not only from

Maharashtra state but all over India.

3. Paper receiving and reviewing process was very effectively handled through customize

CMT portal.

International Journal of Computer Applications (IJCA), New York, USA:

IJCA is a peer-reviewed international journal publishing high quality,

original manuscripts concerned with critical accounting and related

issues. Contributions can be of a theoretical or empirical nature. IJCA

targets scholars from both academia and the professional accounting

community. Papers examine emerging trends in critical accounting and

fast-changing concerns faced by corporations, government and

regulators from a comprehensive range of areas. The selected papers

from NCACIT-2018 conference will be published in IJCA.

NCACIT -2018 had a grand inauguration by the hands of dignified academicians form pune

university and all the emminent personalities from the DYPTC campus. Our respectable

Director Academics Prof.(Dr.) Ramesh Vasappanavara, PRO Sushant Patil and all the

Principals Dr. Abhay Pawar, Dr. L. V. Kamble and Dr. Vilas M. Nitnaware of DYPCOE, DPIET

and DYPSOEA respectively graced the function with their presence.The inauguration

function was also attended by all the HOD’s of all the three engineering colleges.

Inauguartion of Computer Departments Newsletter “Ignited Minds-2018 ”and

Proceeding was carried out by the hands of respected dignitaries. Chief guest Dr. Parag

Kulkarni , Guest of Honor Mr. Dinesh Kothwade guided the attendes and participants. Prof.

Parag Arun Kulkarni is one of the world’s leading authorities on Business Strategy,

Knowledge Innovation, Machine Learning, Systemic Learning and Building Innovative

Knowledge Corporations in the knowledge economy. He is consultant on Innovation and

Strategies for start-ups and SMEs and contributed to make many start-ups successful. He

holds PhD from IIT Kharagpur, Management education from IIM Kolkata. UGSM Monarch

Business School – Switzerland conferred higher doctorate - DSc on him for his contribution

towards innovation and knowledge management. Recipient of Oriental foundations

scholarship, he is also Fellow of IETE and The IET.

Parag is Founder, Chief Scientist and CEO of the iknowlation Research Labs Pvt Ltd: an

innovation, strategy and business consulting and product development organization. He

has been visiting professor/researcher at technical and B-schools of repute including IIM,

Masaryk University – Brno, COEP Pune.

Parag headed various organizations and research labs and contributed to success of more

one dozen organizations through his strategic and Business acumen and innovative

product building. He is core contributor to more than dozen commercially successful

products. He headed Research Labs at Siemens, IDeaS and many other organizations. One

of the well-known Product Innovation and Business Innovation strategist, he is advisor to

The sessions were held for two days (9th and 10th February) and Session chairs were

propitious and very eminent academicians from Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU).

Total 80 papers were presented and we received more than 130 papers all over the

India. It was the privilege for participants and attendees to here and make note of the

An alumnus of COEP Pune, Sir holds Masters in Computer Engineering and pursuing Ph.D

from COEP. He has total 14 years of experience in Academics, Research and Industry. He

held various positions such as HOD, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, and Lecturer

during his tenure. He is recognized as a Post Graduate Teacher, Computer Engineering at

University of Pune. His expertise was acknowledged for developing & designing Academic

policies for organizations. One such success story is of University Topper under his

leadership & guidance. He is awarded as “Best Teacher” by students. He has successfully

completed R & D Project entitled “Use of GPRS for Residential Meter Monitoring” funded by

Pune University for 1.5 lacs. He has 20 research articles in National & International

Journals and Conferences to his credit. He is judged for “Best Paper Award” in

International Conference and National Conference for Paper Presentation held at Vellore

Institute of Technology, Vellore (Tamilnadu). He has successfully organized and conducted

Sir has more than 14 years of teaching and research experience. He is a member board of

studies in computer engineering, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune, India. He is IEEE

member, ACM member, Life member CSI and Life member ISTE. He is paper reviewer for

Springer journal of Wireless Personal Communications and Elsevier journal of Applied

Computing and Informatics. He has also remained technical program committee member

for International conferences and symposium like ICC – 2014, ICACCI 2013, IEEE ICC 2015

– SAC-Communication for Smart Grid, IEEE ICC 2015 – SAC-Social Networking, IEEE ICC

2014 – Selected Areas in Communication Symposium, IEEE INDICON 2014, CSI ACC 2014,

IEEE GCWSN 2014. He has published 42 research publications at national and international

journals and conferences. He has authored 5 books on subjects like Data Structures, Theory

of Computations and Programming Languages. He is also the recipient of “Best Faculty

Award” by STES and Cognizant Technologies Solutions. He has also delivered invited talk

on “Identity Management in IoT” to Symantec Research Lab, Mountain View, California.

From 2000 to 2005, he worked as Assistant Professor in Vishwakarma Institute of

technology, Pune, India. Currently he is working as Professor and Head in Department of

Computer Engineering at STES’s Smt. Kashibai Navale College of Engineering, Pune, India.

He has guided more than 100 plus undergraduate students and 10 plus post-graduate

students for projects. His recent research interests include Algorithms, Internet of Things,

Identity Management and Security.
