[there was a time when the production of knowledge was almost
automatically its own destruction. Then men realized that the
destruction were more enjoyable than the production of any knowledge
and they have enjoyed until the end of the days the pleasure of knowing the
d e s t r u c t i o n o f t h e p r o d u c t i o n ]
Destruction's Concilium assumes that the world is overcrowded with art
and information, studies, essays, theses, research about the same.
Because of this, each country will have to choose five works of their
dead artists to be preserved while all others will be destroyed. The
action unfolds in an unknown country where the choice is delayed
because jurors are deadlocked over to choose a work whose artists were
revolutionary or condemn them (and their work) to oblivion.

(ver[ ]ter)Scenic creation of an interventionist nature inspired by the British artist
Banksy, it gathers several (subsequent and simultaneous) scenes
performed in outdoor spaces. It talks with the silence of images
overexposed in the daily life of a big city, bringing several artistic
manifestations, such as graffiti, video art, performance art, theater, dance,
music and arts together. Six actors and two musicians blend in the public
space to share new perspectives with the audience (spontaneous or not) on
the possibilities of creating meanings from old stories and images. It invites
the audience to participate as co‐authors of a collective and peculiar story,
a t t h e s a m e t i m e , w i t h n o p a s t a n d w i t h f u t u r e .

The theater group Cia. Les Commediens Tropicales emerged from the Performing
Arts and Drama School at UNICAMP (Campinas State University in São Paulo state,
Brazil) in 2003. It's hosted in São Paulo since 2005, completing eight years of
uninterrupted activity. Seven plays made and circulated since then:

2012 Concílio da Destruição (Destruction´’s Concilium)
The last six plays remain in company repertory, highlighting the Cia flirtations with
theater, dance, music, performance art and urban intervention.
