Why Cargo Reporting?

To improve performance tracking and customer support:

Supporting common transport and storage services for other organisations

Allowing customer online access to their current cargo status

Providing the Logistics Cluster with the ability to monitor performance to date

E How does RITA work

RITA is an online application which captures the core of the Logistics Cluster tracking needs by operation:

1. Entering the Service Request Form (storage or transport)

2. Acknowledging and confirming what cargo has entered the system

3. Verification/dispatching of goods in the system

4. Confirmation of what was collected by the customer

Situation Update

RITA has been successfully deployed to support the humanitarian community in the active Logistics Cluster operations of South Sudan and Syria, and is now the standard tool for the Logistics Cluster in regards to common service monitoring and reporting.

RITA has been recently used to track common service provision by WFP in Zimbabwe

In the Fall of 2013, it will launch to support common service provision in Mozambique and Sudan.

ZIMBABWE

As of today, 3,900 cubic meters of stored cargo for seven agencies being tracked in 4 different warehouses
