X-Press It Metal leaf is fun & easy to apply to variety of surfaces. Ideal for craft and DIY projects, there are two different colours available in the range: Gold Metal Leaf Flakes – Made from a combination of zinc, brass & copperSilver Metal Leaf Flakes – Made from 100% aluminium

Step 1: Ensure surface is clean. Apply X-Press It General Purpose Clear Tape diagonally across one end of the wooden tray.

Step 4: Press gently with your finger or a soft rush. Ensure flakes are applied to all areas of the gold size. Gold size remains tacky so you must ensure all areas are covered with metal flakes.

Step 2: Paint the corner area on the wooden tray with X-Press It Gold Size being careful not to go over the tape. Allow 5-10 minutes to cure.

Step 3: Gently cover over X-Press It Gold Size with the X-Press It Metal Leaf Flakes.

Step 5: To prevent tarnishing apply an all purpose sealer. Your project is complete and ready for display!

What You’ll Need• X-Press It Gold Metal Leaf Flakes• X-Press It Adhesive Sheet• Paint Brushes• All Purpose Sealer or Varnish• Pen Holder (rectangle or square)

Metal Leaf Flakes Pen Holder





Step 1: Apply X-Press It Adhesive Sheet to pen holder (ensure surface is clean).

Step 4: For even coverage press gently with your finger or a soft brush over the X-Press It Metal Flakes. Ensure flakes are applied to all areas of the adhesive sheet.

Step 2: Cut the X-Press It Adhesive Sheet and trim the edges around the surface.

Step 3: Peel back X-Press It Adhesive Sheet, gently cover sheet with the X-Press It Metal Flakes.


Step 5: To Prevent tarnishing apply a water based varnish or all purpose sealer over the Metal Flakes.

Step 6: Your Metal Leaf Flake pen holder project is complete!
