Board Meeting Highlights/November 2016
2016-2017 School Calendar
Bond Update An update on the November 8, 2016 bond referen-dum was presented to Trustees. Voters approved the $137 million measure by a 76% to24% margin. Canvassing of the votes took place on November 18th.
Leadership Staff Training Board Trustees approved the agreement to acquire the services of Results Coaching Global, LLC, to provide professional development for instructional leadership staff to help build upon prior training with the ultimate goal of student success.
SCUC attains another “Superior” FIRST Rating Staff shared the FIRST (Financial Integrity Rating
System of Texas) report for the 2014-2015 school
year. The report provides the community & taxpay-
ers with information on how school districts manage
tax dollars. SCUC received a “Yes” on all 15 meas-
urements and received a perfect score in its state
fiduciary report card.
An update on the District Scorecard, reviewing Prior-
ity 2 & 3, is available on the District website.
Additional 2016 Bond News Updates were given to Board Trustees on the timelines for final de-signs, specifically for the renovations at Samuel Clemens High School and the replacement campus for Rose Garden Elementary School.
Financial Statements approved Trustees approved the Financial Statements for October of 2016.
