You have served for the longest period

consisting of more than 4 decades

under almost all MDs since

establishment of NESPAK. How was

your journey at NESPAK?

I have enjoyed excellent rapport with all

the MDs. I consider Mr. Irshad Ahmad

(Late) my mentor who worked with the

highest sense of integrity and gave

selfless service to the growth of NESPAK.

My experience of working at NESPAK, a

truly professional organization without any element of gender discrimination, was

indeed amazing. I was overwhelmed by

the support and confidence given to me

by my superiors and shall always cherish

these fond memories.

Being a woman it is more challenging.

How did you cope with challenges

during your job?

I consider myself lucky to have a strong

support system within family and luckily

my bosses too were very supportive of me

and always encouraged me and showed

confidence in my abilities. I was thus able

to perform well even when under pressure.

You had a successful career at

NESPAK. What is the secret of your

success story?

I am humbled by the immense recognition

and appreciation given by my superiors

and colleagues. The management

assisted me in my professional growth and

thus I was able to work to my full potential.

What was the biggest source of strength

for your professional life?

This is a difficult question. Well, I think I was

very loyal to my job and since my work was

appreciated that gave me more

encouragement to work still harder.

The most difficult incident or experience

in your life?

In January 1987 I lost my husband. It was

difficult for me with two small kids to

manage things at office and home but I

must say Mr. Amjad Agha, who was our MD

at that time, he went out of the way to help

me for which I am very grateful to him. It

was the most difficult phase in my life.

Tell us about your biggest achievement at

NESPAK

My longest service of 45 years is in itself an

achievement. My career progression is

indicative of my diligence and integrity. What are your feelings after retirement,

any future plans?

It will be difficult for me to utilize these

seven/eight hours in a day which was my

routine at my job. But I am sure with the

passage of time I will find a way out to keep

myself busy and do something constructive.

I just pray Allah Almighty to bless me with

strength and good health so that I can

continue my mission.

Any advice to new comers and ambitious

personnel at NESPAK?

My advice to the youngsters is to work with

utmost honesty and dedication. They should

strive hard to excel in whatever career path

they opt to choose.
