Section 1

From This week online lecture we learnt about leadership and its styles, leadership is

deferrers in areas because of its different culture behavior. Leadership is very important

for business and today’s world. It seems very important topic to me and I really tried to

focus in this topic. We learned about different type of leadership Autocratic leadership is

all about control one should give to people. Some people have argued that the style is

popular with today's CEO's, who have much in common with feudal lords of Medieval

Europe. In Transactional leadership person works within the rule. In case of

transformational leadership it focus changes in Our Self,

Others, Groups, and Organizations and also there are three kind of leadership one of them

focus to force the employees by punishment and get the work done. Other style focus on

increasing responsibilities and challenges for the employee along with their work. Thirdly

leadership style things employee participation will motivate and improve teamwork and it

will help to reach the goal.

We also learned about leadership behavior and style like authoritarian leadership its work

centered and this behavior to ensure task accomplishment .In case of Paternalistic

Leadership behavior coupled with a protective employee centered concern .On the other

hand we have participative leadership this behavior is work or task centered approaches

to leading subordinates.

We also learn about leadership in different cultures for example

In Europe higher level managers reflect democratic values Company size tends to

influence the degree of participative-autocratic attitudes Younger managers were more

likely to have democratic values when it came to capacity for leadership and initiative and to

sharing information and objectives.

In Japanese culture they prefer more safety or security need, which is present among home

country–based employees as well as MNC expatriates. Japanese managers have much greater

belief in the capacity of subordinates for leadership and initiative than do managers in most

other countries.

On the other hand China reflects the period of relative openness and freedom, often called the

“Social Reform Era,” in which these new managers grew up

They have had greater exposure to Western societal influences may result in leadership styles

similar to those of Western managers

We also Learn about the factors of leadership They are personalities, intelligence, and abilities. It

is we also learned about theories of effective leaders. For example, being flexible with

employees, creates a high energy for yourself and also for the employees to make them effective

and to enhance their energies during work times, and reach expected goal. Some managers do

not motivate their employees but without motivation we cannot get the best from the employees.

The leadership theory has four points and methods. Trait, when you explain the special

characteristics of leadership effectiveness to make them successful leaders processes.

Contingency, when you explain the appropriate leadership methods according to leaders and

followers situations. Behavior, when you explain some distinctive styles by using some examples

of successful leaders and their environments. Finally, when you gather behavioral, and

contingency theories showing the relationships between leaders and followers.

Section 2

In this article writer told us about the importance of leadership .The fundamental factors are land,

labor, capital and entrepreneurship but without good leadership this things do not worth

anything. Leadership acts as the catalyst that makes all other elements work together; without

leadership, all other business resources lie dormant. Savvy business leaders are in tune with the

needs and issues of their subordinates, and keep up to date on new developments in leadership

theory and methodology to maximize their effectiveness. Work force need to be guide in the

right way so they need skilled labor to get the best from the employee’s leader must motivate

employees. Leaders are also responsible for train their employees because by this employees will

give their effort to the organization. Leaders are also tasked with protecting the employees under

their supervision from internal and external threats, including everything from political

backstabbing to physical security.

Leaders with a command and control style formulate ideas on their own and dictate actions to

their employees. Collaborative leaders come up with ideas with the assistance of employees from

all levels of the organization, leveraging employees' creativity to boost company performance.

Facilitative leaders delegate almost all productive tasks to subordinates, and focus on providing

their employees with everything they need to excel in their jobs. Business owners' leadership

styles are extremely important in crafting company culture.

The writer also talked about Delegation, this means assigning productive tasks to subordinates,

is major activity of success as a business leader. More important than delegating individual tasks,

however, is the ability to delegate authority and develop leaders for the future. Assigning tasks is

a basic management activity; assigning responsibility for figuring out how to accomplish

objectives takes management to the next level. It is important to develop leaders to partner with

you in the future as your business grows; this can greatly increase employee satisfaction and

loyalty as well.

Leaders and leadership styles may need to be changed to suit specific situations. A new CEO in

an established company, for example, may benefit from altering his leadership style to be more

in line with the culture of his new company. Top executives themselves may need to be switched

out from time to time if a company's performance establishes a pattern of decline.

Section 3

So leadership is the abilities an individual leader of the environment in which he operates and of

the relationship developed between the leader and the employees. It is very important to be a

good leader because employees follow the good leader .It should be the characteristic of a good

leader to pull out the best from his employees by motivating or rewarding them. In case of poor

leader he will not be able to do that. Its very important for a good leader to be in touch with his

subordinates. So for different cultures we have different style of leadership style but I think the

success of business is depend on the relation between leader and employee .
