EAGLE VISION II

The NRO is on contract to buy Eagle Vision II, incorporating SPOT,LANDSAT, RADARSAT, and is planning to incorporate the new US high-resolution satellites. This system will be deployed to the US Army at Ft Belvoir,VA in June 1999.

PACIFIC EAGLE (Eagle Vision deployment to PACOM)

* Yokota AB, Japan 26 Mar - 24 Apr 98

* ElmendorfAFB, AK 26 Apr- 6 May 98

* Andrews AFB, MD 14-22 May 98

Other Eagle Vision deployments

* JAC Molesworth, United Kingdom Apr 99

* Incirlik AB Turkey Jul 99

J1NT EAGLE (DEPLOYMENT)

* In Spring 1999, Eagle Vision will deploy to RAF Molesworth, UK as part of the JointEagle program. This test will combine national commercial imagery and UAV datainto all EUCOM mission planning systems: AFMSS, POWERSCENE, TAMPS,TOPSCENE, and SOFPARS

EAGLE VISION'S GOALS:

* Give each Warfighting CINC his own theater deployable commercial imagerydownlink.

* Expand Eagle Vision to downlink every US and foreign commercial imagerysatellite. There will be 43 commercial imagery satellites by the year 2008.

* Give the Warfighting CINC the ability to process and fuse (in-theater) National,Commercial, Tactical, and UAV imagery into a usable DoD/NIMA standardADRI and CIB format for their C4I and mission planning and rehearsalsystems.
