What is the Reemployment Services and
Eligibility Assessment (RESEA) Grants?
An in-person meeting between a UI
claimant and appropriately trained
American Job Center staff member

1. Reduce UI claim duration
2. Ensure UI program integrity

A UI Requirement
– Participants must attend (or be exempted) to prevent disruption in UI benefits
An Entry Point
– Co-enrollment in Wagner Peyser Employment Service (ES) is required
– Additional referrals are common
Staff Development Resource
– UI staff must be involved in the design of RESEA and train AJC staff conducting RESEAs to identify potential UI issues.
Opportunity for Braided Funding
– Appropriations language authorize RESEA funds to support costs associated with reemployment services.
