Year 4 Year 4 have been making Robots! In DT lessons we have been designing and building our robots and in Science we have been learning all about circuits, which has allowed us to give our Robots a 'light up' feature. First we drew sketches to plan what our robots would look like, then we did a technical drawing, think- ing about it's proporons and how it would look from different angles. We had to think carefully about which recycled items we would use to cre- ate a robot that was close to our plan. Finally, we built our robots using recycled items and papier- mache, before pung in our circuits to make our robots have a 'light up' feature which included a bulb. Over the weeks, we have been stopping to review and evaluate the progress of our ro- bots and adjusng our plans for it. We are very proud of our out- comes! Year 1 As part of our ongoing topic 'Seasonal Changes' in sci- ence, One Elm have been col- lecng rainwa- ter using a rain gauge. We have monitored the rainfall over four weeks and recorded how many ml of rain fell each week. We have also enjoyed regularly checking the weath- er forecast to help us to make our own predic- ons about the likelihood of rain!

Year 6 Visit

Year 6 classes visited the RAF Mu-

about the details on their uni-

There is

also a new

interactive

exhibition

– Maths

Alive –

and it’s free, so why not visit during half term?
