Copies of the test standard are available at www.astm.org . The test chamber is a cuboid, 871.7cm long by 541cm wide by 609.6cm high, and volume is 275 cubic meters. There are six fixed surfaces and two movable/fixed surfaces oriented as diffusors in the reverberation room. There are two sources one in each corner consisting of two Dodecahedron speakers and two sub- bass cabinets for extended low frequency capabilities. This test report relates only to the item(s) tested. Any advertisement that utilizes this test report or test data must not imply product certification or endorsement by NWAA Labs. DESCRIPTION OF TEST SPECIMEN The test specimen consisted of RealAcoustix DSA (Diffractive Slot Absorber) panels. The test specimen consisted of two 96 inch (2.44 m) by 48 inch (1.22 m) by 3/4 inch (19 min) panels and one 96 inch (2.44 m) by 12 inch (305 mm) by 3/4 inch (19 min) panel. The panels were laid side by side on the test chamber floor to form a nominal 9 foot (2.74 m) by 8 foot (2.44 m) sample. For the test, 1 inch (25.4 mm) thick 6 Ib. density fiberglass was located in the specimen below the test panels. Edge pieces were attached to the panels covering the fiberglass around the entire perimeter. The specimen was taped to the test chamber floor around the entire perimeter. The test surface consisted of 1/8 inch (3.2 mm) wide, 1/8 inch (3.2 mm) deep slots on 1 inch (25.4 mm) centers. The overall dimensions of the specimen were 108 inches (2.74 m) by 96 inches (2.44 m) by 1-3/4 inch (44 mm) thick. The overall weight of the specimen was 197 Ibs. (89.4 kg).
