FIS Ski | Snowboard trip Every February FIS staff travel with a group of students to Austria. We find that Austria provides students with excellent value for money, superb snow and ski conditions andhospitable accommodation. The trip is offered to those in the Upper School and offers students of all abilities the chance to experience six days of skiing/snowboarding withlessons. Throughout the years we have had students who attend trips in consecutive year; this illustrates the enjoyment students experience on the trip. Each trip includes members of FIS staff who are experienced in chaperoning school trips. The staff members attach themselves to a different ski group to provide extra supportto students during ski lessons. Evening entertainment is a big part of the ski trip, and we organize a variety of activities during the week. This is a school sponsored trip and all school rules apply. The Emergency First Response Care for Children is a CPR, AED and First Aid training course that teaches participants how to provide emergency care for injured or ill children.The primary care portion of the course prepares the rescuer to help an infant or child with a life-threatening emergency such as choking or cardiac arrest. Secondary carefocuses on developing first aid skills and building the rescuer’s confidence to help an infant or child in need. Cancellation Policy:

When fewer than eight participants register for a program, the Activities Director may have to cancel the class for the term. Notice will be sent to all participants who have indicated interestin the class as early as possible so they may register for another program if desired. Participants do not have the option of a trial class. If a participant drops out of a course after the firstclass, the course fee will be partly reimbursed, but the cost of classes attended plus a cancellation fee of € 20 will be deducted from such reimbursement. After four weeks, noreimbursement will be given. The cancellation fee will be waived if a participant simply transfers to another activity within the REAL After School Activities Program. Please contact theActivities Director immediately if you must drop a class. Should an instructor need to cancel a class ahead of time, they will contact the participants so alternative arrangements can bemade. For unforeseen cancellations due to illness, emergency, or weather, students in Grades 5 and below will join the Kids Club. The Parents must make alternate arrangements forsupervision of students in Grades 6-8. If the lesson is cancelled, the instructor will make up the missed lesson. If this is not possible, the Activities Director will reimburse the students. Whena participant simply misses a class, there will be no alternate lesson or reimbursement.
