DISCUSSION QUESTIONS
RCMA received 16 abstract submissions. After selecting the final presentations, there is additional time that needs to be filled – what are some ideas of meeting content members would find valuable?
What are your ideas for networking functions at the upcoming 2016 IRCC? Ideas that came out of the IRCC Working Group have included: • Table Tops • Trivia • Casino Night (e.g. gifts donated by Associate
members to allow vendor recognition) • Charity event or silent auction (e.g. to raise money
to apply a white roof coating to a Philadelphia family in need)
Typically, meeting sponsorships are offered to cover the costs of the receptions, meals, and breaks. Would there be interest in having additional sponsorship categories to correlate to specific meeting materials for the IRCC (lanyards, thumb drives, etc.)?
In terms of the upcoming 2016 membership meetings (Annual Meeting, Summer Meeting, and Fall Meeting), what are your ideas for upcoming meeting content and speakers, and what is your feedback on recent presenters? Are there any additional meeting reference materials you think it would be helpful for RCMA to provide to attendees?
2015 Summer Meeting Speakers • Bob Kobet, The Kobet Collaborative – “Updates to RCMA White Paper “Reflective
Roof Coatings and LEED v4” • Fred Wolfe, 5 Prime Coatings – “Reaching the Roof Coating End User Audience” • Ryan Meres, Institute for Market Transformation (IMT) – “Energy Efficiency,
Sustainability, and Roof Coatings” • Bill Kirn, BASF – “Roof Degradation Mechanisms” • Steve Ryan, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency – “EPA ENERGY STAR Program
Update” • Todd Klessman, U.S. Department of Homeland Security – “Chemical Facility Anti-
Terrorism Standards (CFATS) Update” • Jennifer Lawless, OSHA and Steve Webb, U.S. DOT – “GHS Labeling Requirements
Panel”
2015 Annual Meeting Speakers • Panel Discussion – Michael E. Clark (Roof Consultant), Dr. Michael R. Van De Mark
(Missouri S&T Coatings Institute), Fred Wolfe (Roofing Contractor), and Neal Johnson (Facility Manager)
• Arthur Kravchenko, The Dow Chemical Company – “Global Perspective on the Roof Coatings Industry”
What are ways to increase attendance at RCMA meetings? (for example, would offering registration fee discounts for first-time attendees or new members be an incentive to attend)? What types of recognition should be given to first-time attendees or new members to welcome them at meetings (for example, should current RCMA members partner with new members)?
