CREW is a course that builds a culture of respect, responsibility, cour-age, kindness, and leadership where students and adults are committedto quality work and citizenship. CREW leaders support students in theirunderstanding and ownership of the Habits of Scholarship through casestudies that address the following guiding questions:

WHERE AM I NOW? Sophomore CREW 2

HOW DO I GET WHERE I WANT TO GO? Junior CREW 3

HOW CAN I BECOME AN ACTIVE LOCAL-TO-GLOBAL CITIZEN?

What is CREW?

How is CREW graded?

In the case studies, students earn proficiency ratings based on the CREW rubric through self-evaluation and evaluation by the CREW Leader. The total rating will be converted to a grade atthe end of the course, so what you will see on the first semester report card is the grade conver-

sion of your students current rating. Your student's final proficiency rating/grade will repre-sent the students growth based on the rubric through the whole year. It will not be an averageof first semester and second semester grade.
