A common sight among the fringeworld colonies, these robust airmobile vehicles are built to operate independently in harsh climates. FLIGHT MANUAL

Support craft with detection capabilities, it can also deploy Auto-Turrets and Point Defense Drones. Can also gain Seeker Missile ability. Use it to reveal cloaked/burrowed units or hallucinations and to support your troops. Vulnerable to enemy fire, so keep it protected and hot-keyed to a different control group. Do a diversionary assault on the front of the enemy base while you use a few Ravens to deploy Auto-Turrets behind the enemys mineral line. Launch Point Defense Drones to protect your units from enemy missiles.

CORVID REACTOR: increases the starting energy of Ravens by 25. DURABLE MATERIALS: extends the timed duration of Raven Auto Turrets, Seeker Missiles, and Point Defense Drones. SEEKER MISSILE: enables Ravens to use the Seeker Missile ability. This missile chases its target. It has enough fuel for 15 seconds and deals up to 100 area damage.

Raven - Game - StarCraft II Dont clump up your units and always attack from two sides at once. Mutalisks are the best to take them down due to their superior speed. They can outrun the Seeker Missile without too much trouble. If you have Hydralisks, be sure to have the Grooved Spines upgrade and always attack from two sides at once or spread out.

VS

Protoss

Cover your probes with Photon Cannons. Focus fire the Ravens using Stalkers. Be prepared to use Blink to run away from their Seeker Missile or ensure a kill on a damaged Raven. Use the High Templar Feedback ability to drain their energy and deal damage. If the Ravens energy reserves are full, they will die in one cast of this ability. The Phoenix is fast and does extra damage against Ravens, and its speed gives it a good chance to escape from seeker missiles.

so ravens have the auto-turret the hunter-seeker bomb but what does the point defence drone do

Nvisible

2/17/11 5:23 PM

pretty good by the fact they drop point defense drones. Seeker missiles are pretty destructive vs. air.

Thanks Ravens for using those PDDs to protect my smallest and largest terran air units from those evil Corruptors.

Scarecrow

Good unit but i'm not going to lie I miss the Science Vessel. Its EMP could target Protoss buildings its irradiate was just fun to us on all bio units and its Defensive matrix made Battle Cruisers a beast.

Ginta

2/14/11 3:45 PM

@Scarecrow: The science vessel can heal-if the raven could I wouldn't complain. I tried irridiating a probe but it did nothing; it's only effective againt Zerg.

Lewis

1/31/11 5:42 AM

They should sacrifice the turret thing and bable to repair air units

JimFox

12/29/10 4:23 AM

Does anybody else hate how we only see the back of this guys head?

Griffin

1/2/11 4:03 PM

@JimFox: yes

Bruticus

1/17/11 3:27 AM

@JimFox: Yes, and also the fact that he sounds and expresses himself like a computer/android. I am scared that he is going to turn around any second and show his hideous cybernetic face. I tried to make him do that by clicking on him continuously, the way that you can do any blizzard unit to make them say funny things.

Doncroft

1/17/11 3:57 AM

@Bruticus: The Raven is talking, not the man. The man is driving it via remote control from the Terran base.

Bruticus

1/19/11 3:07 AM

@Doncroft: Ah, I must have missed "drone" in the description. Thanks for the clarification. I guess I'm so old school that I want to believe that this craft is just the SC2 version of the sci vessel. The guy in the sci vessel was cybernetic.

Hephaestus

12/21/10 10:06 PM

why is raven weak vs a cloaked unit (ghost)?

Firevampants

12/22/10 7:15 AM

@Hephaestus: Ghost have emp and take out all energy

YearOfThePig

12/28/10 6:41 PM

@Hephaestus: Ghosts also deal extra damage to light units and Ravens are light units.

helloguy

12/17/10 2:59 AM

needs a default attack, like a machine gun or something

YearOfThePig

12/28/10 6:43 PM

@helloguy: That wouldn't be very unfair for the other races, the Observer has no attack and neither does the Overseer.

DarthCorvus

1/15/11 8:05 PM

@helloguy: Also, consider that the premier spellcaster units never have an attack by themselves. High templar, infestor, defiler, science vessel, etc. Their purpose is solely to provide these useful support abilities. Giving the high templar, say, a strong psi-blade attack would negate the effects of bad positioning, since a high templar group caught away from the rest could automatically defend themselves.

good for koing mineral lines without sacrificing units. I just drop i bunch o turrets behind his base and run and they pwn,if their enough it becomes areal threat and forces ur opponetnt to send his army to kill them, then you charge in with ur army and crush em in between

NoahX

11/28/10 8:04 PM

i gotta say get 12 of these fully charged and i could kill most bases. a mix between point defance drones and seeker missles. also use turrets on miners and such smaller units

sdb

11/28/10 3:31 PM

I must say ravens are under used. They can detect use turrents also hav defence drones. Aswell they can use seeker missles. I hav one 2v2 by massing these units. They can make an army using turrents.

Terran Raven PvT: My preferred mass Void Ray counter: Upon successful scanner sweep or traditional scouting to confirm Void Ray massing; refer to mass Raven tech (+seeker missiles). Once the fleet has been readied: Plant a single auto turret near a vulnerable area of his base (I prefer just in reach of a vespene geyser. Shooting his gas will surly provoke a reaction.) Watch and wait for him to send his army to deal with a single auto turret. Once his outrageous number of voids all converge on that one area... launch all seekers into the void ball. Return to base our outpost for repairs and energy recovery time if enemy forces remain. if not, proceed to auto turret his base. Wash, rise, repeat.

Xelandrex

11/14/10 7:23 PM

do we ever get to see the face of the guy piloting the raven? I get the feeling he looks like Steven Hawking or something...

Destroyer

11/14/10 2:16 AM

massing 20 is entertaining if you keep them safe

Rocksalt

11/9/10 4:14 AM

A seeker missile can be a game-changer if you get it on an unsuspecting clump of Mutas.

Zins

11/7/10 2:49 PM

The turrets are great for harrasment of workers and enemy units; great for slowing them down without costing you anything. I think that 200 gas is a bit much tho

AwesomeTech

11/7/10 2:43 PM

love the seekers.....really good against scv, drone and probes

Binaro

12/20/10 10:58 PM

@AwesomeTech: and rines too. Once got 43 kills with just one seeker.

Terran

11/7/10 7:35 AM

buff the aoe for seeker missile!

ArconTe

11/5/10 10:15 PM

wow, try using auto turret right next to a group of tanks. friendly fire FTW

Sevicler

11/3/10 8:24 AM

i hope these ravens don't peck your hands

ArconTe

11/1/10 5:33 PM

Auto Turret should be buildable with scvs
