Ramadan is Approaching; Let Us

return to the Al-Qur‟an

My dear brothers, on this blessed day,

let us humble ourselves before the

Almighty Allah, together in reflecting

several Allah‟s commandants that we

have ignored. Let us also recall and

reflect, with utmost honesty, on various

prohibitions that we have committed, in

this temporal abode that God had given

us as a loan. Let us then repent and

return to Allah s.w.t., hoping that our

repentance will be accepted by Him and

that we be among those who attained

true essence of Taqwa.

My fellow brothers, whether we realize it

or not, we are already reaching the holy

month of Ramadan. This is the month

that many of us, who love Allah s.w.t.

had been waiting for, as we always

hope for His Mercy and Forgiveness.

As we prepare ourselves for the coming

of this Ramadan, let us reflect on a

reminder by our beloved Prophet

Muhammad s.a.w. “Verily, Ramadan

is approaching you, a month full of

blessings, you will be engulfed and

wrapped with the love of Allah, when

blessings will descend upon you,

your sins will be forgiven, your

supplications will be accepted, and

Allah s.w.t. will be pleased to see youcompete (in the pursuit of blessings and

forgiveness from Him), the angels will

be proud of your earnestness (in

performing ibadah). So therefore, let

us show Allah s.w.t. our sincerity in

doing good deeds. Verily the true

losers are those who are veiled from

the forgiveness of Allah „Azza wa

Jalla (in the month of Ramadan).”

Hadith narrated by Imam Al-Thabarani.

Dear beloved brothers, indeed, as we

waiting for the arrival of this beautiful

month of Ramadan, it is imperative as

faithful individuals that we put in our

outmost dedication and sincere

intentions to reap the benefits of

Ramadan collectively.

Let us be reminded that the salafus-

salih, when Ramadan arrived, they will

cry-out-loud: “Marhaban bil Muthahhir!”meaning: “Welcome O the Month of

Purification!” This is to purify us from

our sins and transgressions. They make

the necessary preparations to ensure

that their hearts are purified, their chests

filled with knowledge and awareness,

their intellects governed by guidance

and mercy from Allah s.w.t.

Dear Brothers, let us liven up the month

of Ramadan by inculcating the true spirit

of Ramadan in every aspect of our lives,

be it from the individual, family or

community points of view. Let us

cultivate a strong conviction by

measuring our determinations, in

completing the recitation of Quran.

However, it should not be limited toreciting it only, but also be extended to

include our acts of tadabbur or

understanding and internalizing, this

means for full appreciation of the

contents read. Let us observe the life of

the salafus-soleh, they are constantly in-

touch with the Quran; in the morning

right to the evening, at home or while

travelling, during good times and in

times of difficulties. When they read the

Quran, it is as though Allah s.w.t. is

speaking directly to them, until the

verses caused their hearts to tremble,

and shed tears of regret over things that

they have neglected.

In fact, it was mentioned in the Tafsir Ibn

Kathir, which narrated the story of a

companion named Abu Dahdah r.a.,

who while reading the Al-Quran in his

garden, came across the following

verse: “Who is he that will lend untoAllah a goodly loan that He may

double it for him and he may have a

rich reward?” - Surah Al-Hadid verse

Upon reading this verse, he hurried to

ask Rasulullah s.a.w. “O Rasulullah,

does Allah wish to borrow something

from us, whereas he is the

Absolute?” The Prophet s.a.w.

replied: “Yes, Allah s.w.t. wishes to

borrow from you (in order to benefit

you), so that He can raise your status,

and purify you of all of your sins.”

Immediately, Abu Dahdah r.a. then said:

“I have a dates garden with 600 trees

in the city of Medina, and it is the

most valuable possession that I own,so be my witness, that as of now I

surrender all of my said possession

for Allah and His Messenger.” Hadith

narrated by Imam Al-Thabrani in his

book „Mu‟jam Al-Kabir‟.

Subhanallah! This is the result of one

who truly reads and understands the

verses of Allah. This is the heart and

soul of a believer that we should aim for

ourselves, especially in our present

context living in a world where we are

strongly influenced by other external

factors.

May this Ramadan truly serve as the

starting point of our consciousness to be

a better servant of Allah, with the true

servitude to Him, while we live in today‟s

material world.

DUA;We are here at the end of this month of

Sha‟ban, hoping for Your mercy and

pleasure.

O Allah, we seek from You, that You will

make this Ramadan…

A Ramadan that will purify our hearts

and our souls.

A Ramadan that will enhance our levels

of humanity.

A Ramadan that will increase our sense

of gratitude.

A Ramadan that will produce feelings of

love among us.

A Ramadan that will strengthen our

personal convictions.

A Ramadan that will be a mercy for all of

the universe.

Ramazan se približava, vratimo se

Kur'anu

Molim Svevišnjeg Allaha da nam

pomogne da ispostimo mjesec ramazan

i da ga učini preporodom naših duša,

molim Uzvišenog Allaha da olakša postonima koji rade na vrućim mjestima i da

im ukabuli njihov trud, amin.

U ovim dolazećim danima, satima,

nasupa sveti mjesec ramazan, vrijeme

koje bi trebali iskoristi u rađenju dobrih

djela, budimo ponizni u našim

namazima jer zaista stojimo pred

Allahom Uzvišenim, klonimo se

Njegovih zabrana, pokajmo se zaučinjene grijehe, zavjetujmo se Allahu,

da nećemo činiti grijehe, nadajmo se

Njegovoj milosti i oprostu i da će naša

djela biti kabul.

Ako smo primjetili a i ako nismo

ramazan je vjerovali ili ne već stigao,

ovo je mjesec kojeg su mnogi od nas

pomno očekivali, pogledali n jegov

dolazak, evo došao je mubarek mjesec,mjesec nade, milosti, oprosta i spasa.

U našim pripremama za ovaj veliki

mjesec, navest ćemo jedan hadis kog

bilježi Imam Taberani. Rekao je

Poslanik a,s; ''Zaista je ramazan

došao, pun je blagodati, bit će te

preplavnjeni u Allahovoj milosti,

mnoge blagodati će biti spuštene na

vas, vaši grijesi će biti oprošteni,vaše dove će biti uslišane, i Allah

dž,š, voli da vas gleda kako se

nadmećete u traženju milosti, i

oprosta od Njega, Meleki će se

ponosti vašim obavljanju ibadeta.

Zato pokažimo Allahu dž,š, našu

iskrenost u rađenju dobrih djela.

Zaista istiniti gubitnici su oni od kojih

je skriven oprost Allaha dž,š, u

mjesecu ramazanu''.

Dok iščekujemo dolazeći mjesec

ramazan, nama je imperativ (naređenje)pojedincima i zajednici da izvučemo

veliku korist u ovome mjesecu, budimo

odlučni u našim odlukama, a to možemo

popraviti uz ramazan.

Prve generacije su plakale kad bi

ramazan stigao govorili bi ''Merhaben bil

Muttahir'' ''Dobro došao mjeseče

čišćenja''. Mjesec ramazan dolazi da

nas očisti od grijeha, oni su se trudili daosiguraju i da budu sigurni da su se

očistili u mjesecu ramazanu, da im se

prsa ispune znanjem i opreznošću,

njihov intelekt da bude vođen sa uputom

Allaha dž,š.

Zato draga braćo u islama, pokušajmo

oživjeti mjesec ramazan u svakom

aspektu našeg života, individualno,

famelijarno ili zajednički. Pokušajmo bitibolji nego prije, ono što smo propustili

da to pokušamo nadoknaditi, što smo

izostavili da pokušamo prakticirati itd.

Pošto je mjesec ramazan mjesec

Kur'ana, nemoj da nam to bude puko

učenje i izgovaranje harfova, već da se

više pozabovimo naredbama i

zabranama. Dublje iščitavanje koje će

nas očistiti, koje će nam pomoći dabudemo bolji, pokorniji, poslušniji.

Imam Ibn Kesir r,h, prenosi jednu

zanimljivu priču od ashaba po imenu

Ebu Dehdah el-Ensari r,a. Ibn Ebu

Hatim navodi od Abdullaha ibn Mes'uda

r,a, koji kaže: nakon što je objavljen ovaj

ajet; '' Ko će Allahu drage volje zajam

dati da bi mu ga On mnogostruko

vratio, a uz to i nagradu plemenitu

dobio''. Sura Hadid 11.

ر جأ ه لو ه ل ه ع ف س ح ر ق ض ر ي ذ ا ال ذ ن م ر ك.

Ebu Dehdah el-Ensari r,a, upita: ''O

Allahov Poslaniče, zar Allah dž,š, od

nas traži zajam? Poslanik a,s, reče;

da Ebu Dehdah. A on reče; daj mi

svoju ruku, Allahov Poslaniče, onda

kaže da mu je pružio ruku, a ovaj je

rekao; evo ja svom Gospodaru dajem

kao zajam svoju plantažu.

A on je imao plantažu u kojoj je bilo

šesto palmi, njegova supruga i djeca su

bili njo j, pa je došao Ebu Dehdah i

zovnuo je; O ummi Dehdad! Odazivam ti

se; odgovori ona, zatim on reče; izađi, ja

sam već dao plantažu u zajam svome

Gospodaru.

A ona njemu kaže veliki si dobitakzaradio ovom trgovinom, o Ebu Dehdah.

Poslanik a,s, reče; koliko li je

mnogobrojnih grozdova u Džennetu

za Ebu Dehdaha, u Džennetu će biti

Ebu Dehdah i dobiti palmu obješenih

grana čije će žile biti od bisera i

dragog kamenja''.

Ovo je pravo razumjevanje, čitanje i

shvatanje ajeta, ovo je srce i dušavjernika, to jest da sami sebi

pomognemo, a pogotovo u današnjem

stanju u kome mi živimo pod vanjskim

pritiskom i materijalizmom.

Molim Uzvišenog da nam primi dobra

djela i post mjeseca ramazana, da nam

ga učini boljim od prošlih, da budemo

svjesniji, odgovorniji, milostiviji,

suosjećajniji, liberalniji, čedniji,

poslušniji, iskreniji, u djelu i riječi, amin

ja rabbel alemin.
