May Day The day all unions and workers unite to celebrate our achievements and recognise the struggle of all workers around the world. What we’ve achieved: • 8 hour working day • Workers’ Compensation if you are injured at work • Awards – set pay for set work • Sick Leave • Annual Leave • Penalty Rates • Long Service Leave • Equal Pay for Women • Unfair Dismissal • Meal and Rest Breaks • Superannuation • Collective Bargaining • Parental Leave • Redundancy Pay – extra pay if your employer makes you redundant

But there’s still more work to be done! o Wage growth is at a 70 year low- Wage theft is at an all-time high o Rising income inequality, housing and rental affordability o Casualisation of work and underemployment is at epidemic levels o Closing the Gender Pay Gap o The right to strike is being stripped away

It’s clear the rules are broken and the system is stacked against everyday Australians.

This May Day workers will rally together to say

It’s Time to #ChangeTheRules. It’s time to stand up and fight back.

Sunday 6 May @ 11am • Hyde Park North

It’s time to restore power to the people, join the movement to Change the Rules:
