The company in briefRaiffeisen Bausparkasse is the institute of Raiffeisen Banking Group Austria that specialises in the financing, maintenance and improvement of residential property. It offers discounted savings contracts as well as tailormade loans that facilitate the creation of housing as well as the financing of educational programmes and care measures.

The company was founded in 1961. Back then, it was the smallest building society in Austria. Today, Raiffeisen Bausparkasse is market leader in Austria.

As the market leader in the main business areas, it services around 1.5 million customers in Austria.

In Austria, Raiffeisen Bausparkasse has co-financed the construction, purchase and modernisation of around 497,542 apartments and houses. That equals residential property for more than 1.2 million people.

Highlights 2019

Raiffeisen Bausparkasse further expands market leadershipRaiffeisen Bausparkasse remains the market leader in Austria in 2019. 1.1 billion, which is in view of the challenging market environment a gratifying result. Demand for building society loans remained high due to the excellent quality of products and services and the popular long-term fixed interest rate products. The trend is clearly towards condensed residential construction - the demand for financing for owner-occupied housing has increased significantly.

Change in managementAt the proposal of the Supervisory Board, the General Meeting appointed Markus Tritthart (48) to the Managing Board of Raiffeisen Bausparkasse at an extraordinary meeting at the end of November 2019. He moved into the Management Board on February 1, 2020 and will take over the back office area after Manfred Url will retire from the company in May 2020.

Business Breakfast „on tour“A few years ago, Raiffeisen Bausparkasse launched a series of events for corporate customers at its „Business Breakfast“ in Vienna, at which renowned experts speak on a wide range of topics relating to building and housing. In November 2019, a Business Breakfast „on tour“ was held for the first time in cooperation with Raiffeisen Regionalbank Mödling at the Raiffeisen Forum there.

Raiffeisen Bausparkasse supports SOS-KinderdorfLast year, Raiffeisen Bausparkasse once again placed its building society activities under the sign of a good case: For every building society savings contract concluded during the campaign period from 25 November to 31 December 2019, Raiffeisen Bausparkasse supported the “SOS-Kinderdorf” facilities in Austria. Thanks to the large number of building society contracts concluded, it was possible to generate donations of 50,000 Euros for “SOS-Kinderdörfer”. The children were thus able to fulfil their fervent Christmas wishes, which would have been impossible without this support.
