LOGGING INTO RADIX
From your web browser, you will need to access the RADIX portal website using the web address: https://www.imagetek-inc.com/radix/
Once the Radix site has loaded you must login using your Entity ID, User Name, and case sensitive Password.

Select the desired project icon. You may flip through the pages if there are more available projects than what fit in the window.
Once you have selected the appropriate project icon, the search screen will open and display the index criteria you can search by. It is from here that you will enter the criteria of the search you are going to perform. You will be able to scroll down to see more indexes/options.

All numeric and date fields allow you to perform “limiting searches” to limit the results to a specific range of values. If both range limits are not filled for a particular index field, RADIX will search for the one specific value you have entered.
Index field searches are NOT case sensitive. In other words, entering the name “smith” will find “Smith”.
Wildcards can be turned on for certain values so the “*” doesn’t have to be typed in. If wildcards are enabled a star icon will be next to the index field like in the screenshot above.

3 RADIX allows you to utilize “*” as a wildcard to specify any number of unknown characters. For example:
Searching for T* in a name field would locate any document that had a name beginning with the letter “T”
Searching for *T* would locate any document that included a letter T anywhere in the name

Searching for *T would locate any document whose name ended with the letter T.

* After clicking on the search icon inside of your project, the search screen is displayed. Enter any criteria here to find the relevant document.

You can perform searches on multiple fields simultane-ously, simply by entering the search criteria into the desired fields and selecting “And” (to find documents where all criteria have been met) or “Or” (to find docu-ments where any of the criteria has been met) under the Search Type field.

To perform multiple searches within a single index field use the “^” symbol. Define one of the values then separate with second value with the “^”. Ex: to perform a search for the last name Smith and Jones at the same time, the criteria entered would like this: “smith^jones”. It will return ALL docs with those two last names.

Full Text Search allows you to search for a particular word, or group of words without having to know additional specifics about the document that they may be in. When performing Full Text Searches, RADIX searches for all documents that contain the specific word(s) included in the request. However, Radix will only perform full text searching on documents that are text based, or have already been OCR’d before loaded into Radix.

03.04. RADIX will perform a search based on criteria defined, and return
results listing the documents found (displayed at the bottom right corner of the page). By default, RADIX will limit the number of results to a maximum of 500. If there are more than 500 results available, the arrows at the bottom left of the screen will access the next group of documents matching the query.
Once you have entered the search criteria into the desired fields, click on the SEARCH button.
05.To easily locate a document in a large results list, you can re-sort columns in both ascend-ing and descending order by clicking on the column header. Once the results are re-sort-ed in ascending order, you can click the column header again to have that column re-sorted in descending order.
PERFORMING TASKS FROM THE RESULTS SCREENOnce you have retrieved your results, you can perform several functions right from that screen. Depending on the rights assigned to the specific user, you can perform functions such as: Alter Indexes, Print, Email, Export, and Add New Documents.
Using your mouse, you can select the document (or documents), hold down the control button and click with the mouse to highlight multiple documents.
If you are a tablet, cellphone, or Macintosh, use the small check box to the left of the document to select multiple files.
If you wish to perform the task, such as print, email, etc, on the entire list, simply check the ‘Select’ box in the list of options near the top of the page.

Once you have designated which documents you wish to perform the task on, click the corresponding icon from the list of options. This will perform the designated task on the document, or documents selected, in the same way that it is done from within the document viewer.

RETRIEVING A DOCUMENT IN RADIX
To view a document, click on any of the index values listed for that document in theRESULTS window. The document will then be displayed.

FULL TEXT SEARCH RESULTS
If you entered full text criteria when searching for your documents, you can view the hits found within the document you are viewing. Simply double click on a document to open it in the viewer. You can then select the Full-Text tab to display the Full-Text Search Results.
*As you can see the ‘Full-Text’ button is highlighted and you’re able to see a basic version of the document .

FINDING TEXT IN A DOCUMENT
While viewing the document you wish to search, type the word you would like to locate in the bottom left corner of the viewer
Enter the search term you’re looking for and click OK.
The document will be searched with the first occurrence from the cursor location and the result will be highlighted.
**This feature is only available when viewing electronic documents such as a Word or Excel document, or images that have been OCR’d.

NAVIGATING THROUGH DOCU-MENTS IN RADIXYou can navigate through pages within a document, as well as through the documents in yoursearch results list by clicking the appropriate toolbar buttons:
First: displays the first page of the first document in the search results list.
Displays the first page of the previous document in the search results list.
Displays the first page of the next document in the search results list.
Last: displays the first page of the last document in the search results list.
First: displays the first page of the current document.Last: displays the previous page of the current document.
Displays the next page of the current document.
Displays the previous page of current document.

*Note: there are two different options: Documents and Pages. Docu-ments will switch documents entirely, and Pages will switch through
the different pages of one single document .
VIEWING OPTIONS FOR DOCUMENTS
Zooms the image or document to fit inside the window.
Rotates the image 90 degrees.
Zooms the image or document to display it’s full width.
Zooms the image or document to display it’s full height.

You can adjust your view of the document by using the zoom and rotate buttons on the toolbarof the RADIX viewer. You can zoom in on a particular region of an image by using yourleft mouse button to click and draw a region around the area that you wish to zoom in on (fromthe top-left corner to the bottom-right corner).
You can right-mouse click on the image and select Reset Image to enlarge the image to the size of the window and set the rotation back to zero. While viewing a zoomed in portion of an image, you can pan the image by holding the <Ctrl> key and left mouse button.
You can (either click or use) the Full-Text option at the top left corner of the image to view Full-Text search results (if it has been OCR’ed). Other display functions are available through the toolbar buttons:
PRINT SETTINGS FOR DOCUMENTS
While viewing the document you wish to print, select Print and then select the first drop down list of settings. You can now choose how you would like to print the page or page ranges.
The displayed region or page ranges will be printed to the default printer.

Print the documentWhile viewing the document you wish to print, select the print button on the toolbar. This brings up the print screen.

Select the Page Range and available Printer Properties to print and click the print button.
The selected pages will be printed.

EMAILING DOCUMENTS IN RADIX
RADIX offers the ability to email documents from any MAPI-compliant email application, such as:Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express, and Lotus Notes (with appropriate options).
While viewing the document you wish to email, select the Email button on the toolbar.

2The Email Options screen will open.
3Select the Page Range to email, File Name, Image Attachment to use (for image-based documents) and click OK.

4 The selected pages will be gathered together and an email will be compiled. RADIX will then launch your default MAPI-compliant email application and create the email as shown below, including the attachment and document index values for the docu-ment(s) being emailed.
Fill in the necessary email recipient and subject and click ‘Send’ to send the email.
