Welcome to the CES|GOLD reporting portal. There are many significant features available, including:

State-of-the-art menu-driven navigation

Ability to set or reset your own password

Ability to open many reports within the same browser window

Ability to save your individual configuration for the next time you enter CES|GOLD or for future use.

Ability to access CES|MarketIQ reports and search for text within them (for CES|MarketIQ clients)

Here are a few notes which will help enhance your experience in using CES|GOLD and CES|MarketIQ.

Initial Entry: When you first log-in into CES|GOLD, depending on your access level you can go to either Reports or Market IQ on the main menu. Most of the

reports pertain to Wholesale Power and Market Data. Market IQ provides access to written analyses and other documents as part of CES|MarketIQ services.

This first part of this guide focuses on the navigation associated with Reports, accessed by clicking on the Report button shown here:

Selecting Reports: If you select Interactive Reports you see the list of report folders you can access. You can navigate to the specific report you want to view:

The selected report will open. You can use the normal windows buttons to expand/ resize the report. The report will open with the default values. To get to

From here you can go back to the Interactive Reports drop-down to open more reports. Which reports you can see and access depends on the services you

take with CES and the region(s) to which those services pertain. If the opened report is a drill-down report, you can select the drill-down point and launch the

more detailed report (for instance, in a yearly report, click on the month to drill down to the monthly report, then click on a day to drill further down to the

daily report). You can further resize and arrange multiple reports in the same browser window:

You can also use the Windows menu (at the bottom of the Interactive Reports menu) to Tile or Cascade reports that are shown– you can view/tile/cascade as

many reports as you desire:

Save Layouts: Another feature of CES|GOLD is the ability to save your individual settings. Go to Layouts in the top main panel and select Save Layout:

Once you have selected this, you get the Save Layout configuration window:

The selections even allow you to save parameter settings within each report so that when you call up the particular Saved Lay out, it will automatically launch

all of the reports in the Layout with all parameters defaulting to what you have previously saved. The saved Layout information is associated with your

individual CES|GOLD account in CES’s databases, so you will be able to access your Saved Layouts from any machine or device.

Enjoy CES|GOLD and please contact us for questions or comments by mailing [email protected]. In the next section we give a quick tour of MarketIQ

If you are a CES|MarketIQ client, you will have access to CES|MarketIQ written reports and analysis under the Market IQ menu.

Clicking on the Browse Market IQ option will bring up a “tree” style menu on the left. Clicking on the + sign in a tree item opens the branch below it. Within

each region for which you take CES|MarketIQ service, folders are generally organized by ISO committee or working group name. Once you see a list of

documents, clicking on the column titles will sort the documents shown by Filename, Size, or Date. Most CES|MarketIQ documents are in PDF format, but

you might also see spreadsheets, pictures/screenshots, Word documents or other documents in the list.

Double-clicking on any file will bring up a standard browser dialog to Open or Save the file. You can also initiate this by clicking on a file to select it, then

clicking on the file link located at the bottom of your browser window.

Choosing the “Search Market IQ” option under the main Market IQ button brings up an intuitive search window that allows you to search all the reports to

which you have access. You can enter text for any or all of the search criteria, including folder name or file name if you know it and want to narrow your

search (these can be partial names). The “File Contains Text” option will search within all PDF and Word documents for that text, and you can also narrow the

date range from which you want to see documents. Hitting the Search button will then bring up a list of matching documents.

If you used the “File Contains Text” box, the results include a small preview of the context in which the text is located, to help you determine relevancy. Just

as in the Browse Market IQ windows, you can save/open documents by double-clicking on them or by clicking on the file link at the bottom of your browser.

You can also order by results by clicking on the column titles (Size, Date, etc.).
