Question: A question is a sentence, phrase or word that asks for information or is issued to test
someone’s knowledge.
Adverb: An adverb is a part of speech that provides greater description to a verb.
An adverb is a word that modifies a verb (An adverb describes the actions)
Example: She swims quickly.
He eats quickly during break.
Conjunctions: A conjunction is a word that “joins” ideas together. A conjunction joins two parts of a sentence.
Remember the word FANBOYS since these words are the most common conjunctions used.
F – For
A – And
N – Nor
B – But
O – Or
Y – Yet
S – So
Subordinating conjunctions: although, before, once, that, when, whether, as, how, since, though, whenever, while, if,
because, than, until, where, why
Punctuation marks: A mark, such as a full stop, comma, or question mark, used in writing to
separate sentences and their elements and to clarify meaning.
