I created a target audience for my magazine from my primary research where I carried out a questionnaire. I conducted a questionnaire which led me to make the decision of who my target audience would be for my music magazine. I made 30 questionnaires and distributed them to a random selection of people.

I believe that the audience for my magazine would be a mixture of both young girls and boys aged between 16-23 who are interested particularly in reading about music and events rather than a gossip magazine.

I found that this audience was fairly easy to create a magazine for as the audience is a wide range it does not limit the magazine too much. I found it easy to aim my magazine at this specific audience because I myself am a female between this age range. This entitled me to use my own personal. Resulting from this if I did not like a colour or font that I used I would know that most other people in this target group would also not like it.

Although I used the results from my questionnaire to adhere to the audience, I also had personal influence on the construction of my magazine as I wanted to create a magazine that I myself as well as those of the target audience would buy.
