Dear Player

Here is the information for the 2015 Queensland Judo Team to compete at the Australian Judo Championships in Wollongong. We are looking forward to a successful and enjoyable team performance and one that builds on last year’s participation in the event. The Queensland Judo focus is on creating a strong team spirit and supporting our fellow players.

All players, coaches and officials must have photo identification. If possible we would like players to stay together in the team hotel (Novotel Northbeach Wollongong), at all times, proudly wear the team uniform and whenever possible support competing players. We also encourage family and friends attending the Championships to wear the Qld Judo T-shirt (or maroon clothing) to show their support. Please be mindful of the weather conditions in Wollongong, as warm clothing may be required.

Please remember Blue Judogi’s are required for Senior Boys and Girls divisions.

All players must be current financial members of the JFAQ and must fully complete and submit alldocuments prior to the due date. The JFA has not released full details of the championship; however we know the basic daily schedule, and which age groups are competing on each day. We will let you know the full championship details ASAP.

2015 Queensland Judo Team Uniform

Players are expected to wear full Queensland Tracksuit and Polo T-shirt at all times when attending the Championships. Parents and supporters are also encouraged to wear the Queensland Polo shirt or maroon clothing. It is also preferred that players wear the Qld Tracksuit and Polo shirt whilst travelling to and from the Championships. Players attending medal presentations must wear either full white judogi or full blue judogi.

Reminder to all female players that a plain white t-shirt must be worn under the judogi, this cannot be a singlet or croptop. No metal clips or bands in hair or on body. Male players are not to wear any t-shirt under the judogi. Compression clothing such as skins may be worn under the judogi. The compression pants must be knee length and finish above the knee and not visible under the judogi. Females may wear white coloured compression top with no part of the torso being exposed, the sleeves must finish above the elbow and not visible under the judogi.

The Blue Judogi is compulsory for Senior Men/Women, Junior Men/Women, CadetMen/Women, and Senior Boys/Girls divisions. The blue Judogi will NOT be compulsory for Junior Boys/Girls divisions, however a white gi is compulsory. The player called first will wear the White Judogi. Mixed Judogi’s are not allowed, the Judogi must be all white or all blue. Queensland Back Patches should be correctly and securely fixed to the judogi. All judogis must be compliant with size requirements. Please check with a state coach if you are unsure if your judogi is compliant.

NOTE :- Qld. uniforms must have orders in by 20 April 2015 as it will take 5 weeks for the orders to come through and hand out on Saturday 30/5/15 at our last squad training session and posted to NQ!!!!
