For 125 years, Finley Hospital has been an integral part of the greater Dubuque community. As the first hospital in Dubuque, Finley has a long tradition of providing

compassionate, quality health care in the communities we serve. Finley grew from a physician–led residential facility to now, a 126-bed, fully accredited facility.

Over the years, Finley Hospital continues to be the leader for advancing health care in the Dubuque community. From humble beginnings, Finley has transformed to a comprehensive health care organization. Expansions ranging from the current emergency, surgery and heart care center project to opening the city’s first laboratory in 1918, our history is filled with accomplished milestones.

BIRTH CARE Making special deliveriesExperts in Finley’s Family Birthing Suites provide compassionate care to expecting and new mothers. The trusted team of professionals provides resources new parents need to prepare for a growing family. From the Suite Beginnings Program to our Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), new families receive the quality care they expect from a leading birth care center.

CANCER CAREDubuque’s only radiation therapy services From early detection screenings and the latest treatment options, to emotional support and wellness programs for cancer survivors, Finley provides state-of-the-art technologies with compassionate, understanding care. Finley’s Wendt Regional Cancer Center features the most advanced technology and is designed to diagnose and handle the most difficult cancer cases. Our Nurse Navigator provides one on one attention to patients navigating cancer treatment options. The Nurse Navigator serves, in part, as a care coordinator, educator and counselor for patients and families.

EMERGENCY SERVICES Compassionate, convenient careFinley Hospital’s emergency services provide a comprehensive mix of care for patients of all ages. Patient intervention may be minimal or require life-support measures. The Emergency Department plays an important role in providing patient education, referrals and discharge planning. Over 22,000 members of the community seek treatment at Finley’s Emergency Department annually.

HEART CARESpecialized heart careFinley Hospital provides advanced heart care services for patients in the tri-states area. Finley’s Heart and Vascular Center is affiliated with UnityPoint Clinic Cardiology, eastern Iowa’s largest cardiology practice. Finley’s team of experts works with patients on prevention and diagnostics to treatment and cardiac rehabilitation. Patients receive the highest level of quality heart care with fewer complications, better outcomes and higher survival rates.

As a non-profit organization competing in an ever-changing health care environment, there is peace of mind understanding Finley’s strong financial health. In 2014, Finley has reinvested $42 million in the community through heart and vascular investments, a new emergency department and operating suites. In addition another $9 million was invested in IT upgrades and new services, equipment or clinic improvements.

Finley Hospital is investing in the future and the health of our community by expanding our hospital services. The Grandview Expansion project is a $42 million project that provides the

Dubuque community a larger emergency department, additional state-of-the-art surgical suites and an expanded Heart and Vascular Center.

The emergency room will have a more efficient work and patient flow to improve patient triage, treatment and satisfaction. The surgical suites are designed to support the newest technologies, including surgical robotics, for the more than 6,000 surgical procedures that will be completed every year. The Heart and Vascular Center consolidates all heart care services into one area, which includes diagnostic cardiology services, cardiac catheterization labs, cardiac rehabilitation and educational facilities – providing patients with comprehensive care all in one location.

Dubuque is filled with a diverse selection of local restaurants, theatres, retail stores and fantastic cultural experiences. Enjoy the National Mississippi River Museum or the Dubuque Symphony Orchestra. Spend an evening cheering on the Dubuque Fighting Saints, a USHL
