To usher in the the holiday season, Pope John’s Isidore House held its annual Operation Christmas Child packing party. Thanks to the very generous donation of shoes, school supplies, toys, and personal items from Deb Trease of Clearwater and Pope John students and families, a total of 58 shoebox gifts were collected.

Calvary Bible Church of Neligh served as the drop-off location. These wonderful shoebox gifts will be shipped on and eventually distributed to children around the globe to show them the love of Jesus Christ. Isidore House members would also like to thank The Bargain Box in Elgin for providing funds which helped offset the cost of shipping.

GrandparentsVisit School

On Wednesday, November 14th, St. Boniface classrooms were filled with the excitement of Grandparents Day. Following Mass, students joined their grandparents for a trip to the Book Fair in the library, activities in their classroom and lunch.

It’s a great way for grandparents to see all the happenings at St. Boniface School and students love showing the things they are learning.

Stacy Kreycik Miller, author of “Suzie Saves The Day” came to do a book talk with St. Boniface students.

Suzie Saves the Day” is a children’s book based on a true story of the late Kenard Kreycik’s pet cow elk “Suzie” and how she helped bring the herd back to safety at the ranch.
