“Really great candidates – diverse industries, strong work experience, international. Hugely qualified” Alexis Mellon, Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business

“In an uncertain MBA market, we decided to increase the overall number of fairs and cities that we visited this past year. This combined with other marketing and recruiting tactics has led to a strong increase in applications this year. We know that attending these fairs is crucial in order to meet prospects and talk about why an MBA, and specifically a GW MBA, is a strong investment” Shelly Heinrich, George Washington University School of Business

“We would like to thank QS for organizing MBA fairs all over the world. We have been collaborating with QS for many years now, and it is a key institution to our recruiting offers. We have met students from all over the world during the QS fairs, and many of them ended up joining IE Business School. We are looking forward to more successful tours with QS. Great organization, great people, and a lot of potential students!” Eliana El Hage, IE Business School

“I have been very impressed with the overall organization of QS events I have personally attended. The quality of service, the willingness to continuously seek improvement , and the friendliness of QS employees is exceptional. In addition, this past year I was pleasantly surprised at the large numbers and quality of participants at fairs in some of the emerging markets. Well done to the QS team!” Melissa Jones, INSEAD

“Excellent candidates who seemed particularly interested in Oxford”

Paull Hammond-Davies, Oxford University, Said Business School

“Great event! Good quality - in my view you’ve targeted the right people for today’s event”

Ffion Hughes, Manchester Business School

Media partners

QS works with a large list of prominent media partners in every city we visit – over 800 partners in print, online, radio and TV. These partnerships, both in English and local language, ensure we generate top-quality, targeted MBA candidates at each event. Our relationships with these media outlets are long-lasting and have been essential to our success over the years, giving us the competitive edge.

Targeted advertising opportunities

Of the large list of media partners we work with, many also offer discounts to schools that book our events. Special rates are available, which can include discounted advertising in print and online, as well as options for content, blog listings, email blasts and much more. These partners cover every region we visit and can be up to 50% off the standard rates. We announce updates on these deals in our monthly business school newsletter – if you are not on the mailing list already, please contact Alana Horden on [email protected].

PR excellence

Our in-house editorial and public relations team benefit from long-standing relationships with journalists at top media publications globally, producing MBA supplements and features that complement our events and generate high levels of interest and readership. The QS Intelligent Unit produces world-leading research and reports on the MBA market, which in turn stimulate discussion and cultivate interest in MBA education across the globe. It is this commitment which sets us apart from our competitors – as of Spring 2013 there were currently 280,000 exact phrase matches for ‘World MBA Tour’ on Google.

Social networks

Our social network footprint is large and far-reaching – our constant interaction with candidates stimulates not only registrations for our events, but discussion and interest in MBA education in general. We post and interact with online communities including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Ecademy, Live Journal, Mixi, Myspace, Vkontakte, Okut, Plaxo, StudyVZ, Xing and many others. Our online marketing team is dedicated to expanding our presence on social media, ensuring the schools we work with benefit from very high exposure. We have over 54,800 candidates actively connecting to QS on Facebook and Twitter alone.

What’s New?

QS Tap Technology

In Spring 2014 we will be rolling out our new innovative, QS Tap Technology, for all schools. This new in-house developed app gives schools instant access to candidate details as well as allowing you to rate, comment on and even photograph candidates to help remember them later. QS Tap Technology also gives schools full access to all registered candidates no later than 1 hour after the conclusion of the fair. As well as receiving the full list of registrant details, you will also receive your ‘tapped’ candidate connections, along with any notes made.

This exciting development is a testament to our ongoing commitment to help schools attract and convert top-quality MBA leads quickly and easily.

What the schools think (based on feedback from trial events in Spring 2013):

“Love the new QS Tap Technology and feedback was taken into consideration since Lisbon.” Cristina Trifu, Vlerick Business School

“Like the technology very much!” Lucy Reynolds, University of Strathclyde Business School

“This is awesome! Thanks for attaching it! That is really helpful. I love this technology!!” Jessica Smith, IESE

“The new tap technology is very simple, fast and useful to do post-fair follow up with the candidates we met.” Simone Kuhn, IMD

• Instantly see the candidate’s details • Quickly make notes for later reference• Give the candidate a star-rating• Leads available 1 hour after each event

QS World Executive MBA Tour & TopMBA.com/EMBA

• Alongside the QS World MBA Tour fairs, Executive MBA programs benefit from a dedicated EMBA section especially for candidates with 6 or more years of work experience.

• EMBA candidates are easily visibly recognizable at all our events and are directed to the EMBA section at registration to find out more about EMBA programs. We also educate candidates on how to choose between MBA and EMBA programs at our dedicated panel discussions in key cities.

• Candidates are also given (on a first come, first serve basis) a copy of the QS TopExecutive Guide and QS TopExecutive Passport* (also available in electronic format).

• Executive MBA programs can feature in the QS TopExecutive Guide – print and online editions (also available as an Apple app). See page 14 for further details.

• Schools participating in the QS World Executive MBA Tour receive our complimentary editorial and PR questionnaire, and can thus be quoted in our online and guide EMBA content, as well as in our press releases sent to education journalists worldwide.

*The QS TopExecutive Passport is an A-Z interactive manual taking EMBA candidates through the essential steps of the EMBA journey; from deciding whether an EMBA is the right degree for them, to choosing the best program for their needs and submitting a winning application.

Accessing Candidate DataTopMBA Outreach

All business schools are given access to Outreach, our candidate CRM system, two weeks before the event. This online tool allows schools to connect with candidates before the event. Targeted search capabilities ensure messages are reaching the right applicants.

QS Tap Technology

Our new QS Tap Technology utilizes a downloadable app, which schools then use to connect with candidates during the event. This new system instantly downloads all the details of that candidate, as well as allowing you to make notes. All connections – as well as the full list of registrants – are emailed to you no later than 1 hour after the event.

QS researchTopMBA.com Applicant Survey

The QS TopMBA.com Applicant Survey is provided to all participating schools. This report, compiled by the QS Intelligence Unit, covers student destination and study intentions, school selection criteria and research tools used by candidates to make their business school choice. Please enquire about more detailed country reports to help with travel planning.

QS Global Employer Survey

The QS Global 200 Business Schools Report is the only report of its kind that takes into account the opinions of MBA recruiters globally. These results are collected in our QS Global Employer Survey. In order to produce the most representative report, please ensure that your MBA recruiters are on our distribution list. For more information or a copy of the report, contact your account manager.

Additional BrandingOnline visibility

All schools participating in our events benefit from a free basic profile on TopMBA.com. This site, which received over 2.4million visitors in 2012, has been re-launched in 2013 and we expect traffic to grow exponentially. Each school is also listed on our regional and city landing pages under ‘participating schools’.

Print and more...

All tour participants are listed on the floor plan of the event, which is printed and handed out to each attendee. Where possible, schools are also included listed in PR and media advertising campaigns, as well as partner publications, website, radio, TV and more.

On the dayPanels and Seminars

We offer panels, seminars and workshops at all QS World MBA Tour. While our new expanded panel and presentation schedule gives schools the chance to purchase sessions, we continue to host at least one free admissions panel before every single event. These free sessions are subject to terms and conditions*, and fill up quickly, so book your place early!

Networking and socialising

Being on the road alone can be tough – so our dedicated travel team organize social events throughout the tour. Post-fair networking drinks with local employers and journalists are also provided after selected fairs. Our team are also on hand for training and consultation for new travellers or alumni to make sure you get the most out of each event. Our travellers can share their itinerary early if they’d like to travel in a group.

QS complimentary services

*Places on the free panels are offered on a first-come, first-served basis to schools who commit to strong marketing support for the events. A slot can be

offered to schools that book more than three cities in any one region. We cannot offer more than two slots per region. Schools are required to promote their

participation in the panels by sending an announcement to their local prospect database and advertise in local media. To book a slot, please contact your QS

account manager or Penny Russell on [email protected]
