Much of the public commentary onenvironmental matters is almost entirely negative- whether it's about alerting people to impendingenvironmental disasters or it’s arguing that thepeople doing the alerting are politically motivatedand the problems they talk about are grosslyexaggerated. Studying political and social thoughtallows us to bypass mere negativity and polarizingarguments by examining various theories. Thisclass will concentrate on political theories relatedto environmental problems, with a furtherconcentration on the world’s food production.
This course counts for elective credit in the NaturalResources/Environmental Sciences secondary major course and
is part of the Society and Environment track!
