    tHe PerFect color

Both grosgrain ribbon an velcro are anufacture in an colors. But

what if ou ust cant fin the color ou want? In saples, I sipl

use fabric paint on white ribbon an velcro to custoize the color to

atch artwork. Spritz the ribbon or velcro with water, appl a flui

fabric paint, such as de-na-Flow or dr. Ph. martins, an allow to r.

The hook sie of the velcro is soewhat stiff an the loope sie quite

ense, so liqui fabric paint works best.

To ake a bookark with a quilte front, cut the fabric an batting each

3" 7". Quilt the pieces together, an then tri to 2" 6". If oure

aking ultiple quilte bookarks, rather than quilting each piece

square an quilt. Its easier to stitch on the large size, an faster for

    cutting ultiple fronts.

When I ake a large quilt, I quilt a few inches past the intene finishe

tipsUse a arking pen that wont

    blee when it coes into

    contact with the glue.

    When instructe to trace a

    shape using the tin, alwas

use the sharp ege. This gies

a ore accurate shape an,in the case of the botto, a

    Be extra careful when

    triing batting close to
