Good morning.

We are once again supporting Save the

Children by taking part in Christmas Jumper Day on

THURSDAY 15TH .

For a suggested donation of £1 each, children are invited to wear a Christmas jumper instead of school

uniform - jeans/sports trousers/leggings are acceptable to wear with it.

It will be a party atmosphere as everyone will be in their Christmas jumpers for our school Christmas

lunch, with extra treats kindly supplied by the PTA.

The local Poppy Appeal organiser called in the other day to

thank the school for the record amount raised this year -

£683.10. He said that we were the top fundraising school in

the area and that overall donations were up considerably.

A cup of awfully jolly fun,

A teaspoon of exciting, sparkly presents,

A dash of kind and lovely children’s hearts,

A pinch of glittery frosty snow,

Grated snowflakes dancing around as children

play,

1 medium woolly Christmas jumper

A Christmas bowl of tasty sweet treats,

A sprinkle of colourful dust on the table while

eating Christmas dinner.

Sarah (Maple)

A mix of joy and love,

A teaspoon of superb presents

A dash of happiness,

A pinch of candy canes,

1 medium cup of hot chocolate,

A bowl of kind presents from aunties,

1 cheerful jug full of jokes,

A sprinkle of kindness,

And finally a bag full of carrots for

Santa’s reindeer.

Daisy (Maple)

A sprinkle of magic and a pinch of being spoilt,

A pint of love and a pour of craziness,

Add a cup of family and friends,

Crack a joyful day into Christmas,

Add a bit of naughty Elf on the Shelf,

Put in some Christmas dinner and a sprinkle of

icing sugar on the cake for pudding,

Crunch up a little cheerfulness

That’s how you make a good Christmas cake!

Merry Christmas!

Scarlett (Juniper)

A sprinkle of snow,

Crunch up the craziness,

Measure the friendliness and love,

Pour the frost,

Stir with Christmas joy,

Add the presents with the ribbon,

A pinch of light,

Grate the snowmen.

Have a lovely Christmas!

PARTY TIME!

Reception, Year 1 and Year 2

have their parties on Tuesday

20th. The children can come to

school in their party clothes to

avoid having to change, but they need sensible

shoes and cardigans/jumper and a WARM COAT as

they will be outside for playtime and lunch time.

CHRISTMAS PRODUCTION TICKETS

The tickets are being sent out early this week

(Foundation Stage went home last week). If you

are on the waiting list for extra tickets we will be

in contact with you early next week to let you

know if we can fulfil your requests. Due to the

huge demand, we are making some seats

available at the KS2 dress rehearsal on

Wednesday afternoon and we will contact those

on the waiting list to whom we can offer tickets.

Priority will go to those with no tickets rather

than extras.

CONSULTATION ON A PROPOSED CHANGE TO THE SCHOOL’S ADMISSIONS POLICY FOR 2018/19 ENTRY

Governors propose a change to the oversubscription criteria of the Admissions Policy for entry into the school in

2018/19.

Minor changes have been made to wording for the purposes of greater clarity. The substantive change affects the

criteria that relate to regular church attendance (criteria 6 & 7 in the 2016/17 policy, and criteria 6 & 8 in the

2017/18 policy). It is proposed that the definition of regular church attendance be amended to TWICE per month

for a period of one year, rather than ONCE per month for a period of one year.

The proposed policy is on the school website. If you wish to comment on it, please email

[email protected] or address a letter to the Chair of the Governing Body and drop off at the

school office. The deadline for comments is Thursday 26th January 2017.
