National training centre in knowledge utilization and policy implementation, comprised of a consortium of universities, research institutes and health authorities.
Multiyear funding from Canadian Health Services Research Foundation, Alberta Heritage Foundation for Medical Research and Canadian Institutes of Health Research.

To contribute to the improved transfer of knowledge for the betterment of health policy and health care services.

Mandate
Provide training to researchers & students to do knowledge transfer (KT) in the health sector
Train scholars in the field of KT with the aim of building capacity
Engage decision makers to maximize policy relevance of KT training & scholarship
Increase KT skills among healthcare managers and professionals to promote research/evidence based decision making

Trainees
Trainees are pursuing graduate degrees in Business, Political Science, Public Policy, Nursing, Sociology, Community Health and Organizational Analysis
In addition to these graduate students, there are a number of affiliates in disciplines as diverse as dental hygiene and oceanography who have participated in Centre courses and Institutes

Centre Offerings
Students are enrolled in graduate programs at their home universities and take a cognate minor in knowledge transfer, consisting of two courses plus participation the Annual Spring Institute.
