Sardar karnail Singh Doad : In the written reply it has been stated : "The Government of India, Ministry of Industrial Development, have granted 52 Industrial Licences for setting up Industrial Units in the State of Punjab during the period from January 1983 to-date". My question is whether any of these 52 Industrial Licences has been allotted to Faridkot District.

(a) whether the Government is aware of the fact that the. drivers of the Punjab Roadways and Pepsu Road Transport Corporation, Patiala play obscene records in their buses in spite cf protests by the public that causes inconvenience to the travelling public especially to the ailing ones ;

(b) whether the Government have issued any instructions/ orders to the officers/employees of the PRTC to stop the buses at the said village; if so, the details thereof; if not, the reasons therefor.

(a) the year in which the road from Dadduana (Mehta Road) to Batala Road linking the village Talwandi Dasaundha Singh with Mahnian Kaharan and Jethuwal in Tehsil and District Amritsar was metalled last;
(b) whether any bridge over the Makhanwindi drain passing near village Mehnian Kaharan and crossing the road linking villages Mehnian Kaharan with^Jethuwal was constructed at the time when the road mentioned in part (a) above was constructed, if not, the reasons therefor;
(c) the time by which the bridge on the drain referred to in part (b) above is likely to be constructed in view of the fact that the residents of the following villages have to reach Amritsar after covering a distance of 15 kilometers either via Kathunangal or Dadduana Mehta road:

Sardar Surjit Singh Barnala: 772 cases out of which 240 cases were pending with Deputy Commissioners and 532 cases were pending with applicants for the purpose of completion.

Declaration of Surplus Area in Tehsil Sultanpur Lodhi \
12. Sardar Bachan Singh : Will the Minister for Revenue and Rehabilitation be pleased to state /
(a) whether it is a fact that some area of land was declared as surplus in the year 1963-64 in Tehsil Sultanpur Lodhi; if so, the details thereof;
(b) whether the said surplus area was allotted on "Possession basis"; /
(c) if the reply to part (b) above be in the affirmative, whether there is any proposal under the consideration of the Government to cancel the said allotment; if so, on what grounds?
Sardar Major Singh Uboke: (a) Yes, sir. Area measuring 1092 Kanals 15 Marias was declared surplus.
(b) 319 Kanals 1 Maria only was allotted on the basis of possession; the balance was allotted to other eligible tenants.
(c) Allotment of land measuring 93 Kanals 3 Marias of one allottee was cancelled under para 11 of the provisions of the Punjab Surplus Area Utilization Scheme, 1973 as he had violated the provisions of para 10 (e) of the Scheme. \
