The name & fame of PunjabPolice is always on the topposition among the policing

community of the World. In ourcountry too, most of Statesfollow paths and standards ofPunjab Pol ice and they alsohonestly accept Punjab Police asa teacher and Guru. Moreover, the success of Punjab Police incurbing decade long terrorism inPunjab has set an example in the

world. There is not a single doubtthat thousands of Punjab

Pol icemen of al l ranks havesacrificed their lives for peace inPunjab and we should begrateful for that and have to payour gratitude by taking personalcare of the Martyr's families andby supporting them practically inall respect. But the dirty politicsof the Punjab State neverthought about the Martyr'sfamilies, because except a fewpoliticians none of the politicians

have lost thei r k in or fami lymember, therefore they can

never realize the pain in the livesof Martyr's families of PunjabState. There is also no doubtthat Officers of Punjab Policehave due respect for the martyrsand they also take care of thefami l ies martyr pol icemen by

arranging welfare funds for them, but they have also certain limits. However it is the duty of thepol i t icians. But they are notsincere.

    The Punjab Police has always

stood to the test of time provingits professional competency aswell as exemplary courage tocounter any challenge posed bythe anti national elements. Thisforce has a wonderful history ofgal lantry, sacri f ices andachievements.

The State force has proved itsprofessional mettle andcommitment in successful lycurbing the menace of decadelong militancy that was beingsupported by the inimical forcesacross the border. Credit for thisunprecedented anti terroroperation goes to those braveheart Officers and Jawans ofPunjab Police, who sacrificed

    MESSAGE

    Community Policing can be

    very effective in reduction

of the crime as the strength

of the persons fighting with the

    crime i.e. Police force, increases

very much. On the other hand

there is a fear of the uniform in thecriminals due to which they easily

    identify the police personals.

    When there will be community

policing the criminals will have a

    mental pressure on their mind

    because anyone from the public

will be reporting their crime to the

police. People from all the class

    like the daily passengers, auto

    r i c k s h a w

    drivers and

    v e n d o r s

    should be

    selected as

    wardens who

    can perform

    duty very well

    in the mission

of reducingcrime. .We are proud of our brave

soldiers of Punjab Police who laid

their lives at the altar of duty to

save the society and to save the

nation. On this day we salute our

warriors and pay our tributes to

    make their dreams true.
