Puneet Mahajan is a professor in the Department of Applied Mechanics at IIT Delhi. He

joined IIT Delhi as a Lecturer in 1992. He obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degree in

Engineering from Delhi University, India and PhD from Montana State University, USA.

His research interests are in the areas of the Mechanics of composite materials, Impact

mechanics, Snow mechanics, Finite Element Method and helmet design. Puneet Mahajan

has 80 publications in refereed journals and conferences.
