Hello Friends..

Hope you are enjoying the work in office as these are the months of taking good work experience (obviously along with the studies). Many times I have experienced that after qualifying, people desire to take the work experience which they have missed due to lenient approach during articleship period but later it becomes difficult to get the practical basics clear as the advantage which you carry as a CA student is no longer continues once you are qualified. So, as a Chairman Pune WICASA and as your colleague it's my sincere request to all of you to give your best during your articles (or even post articles for the sake of experience) and get the amazing experience which is going to pay you throughout your career. This experience is also going to serve you as concrete foundation to grow on.

In the month of June we had some ever memorable Industrial as well as Educational Visits and to add it various innovative workshop/ seminar.

On 5th June we had Industrial Visit to factories of Kirloskar group in Kirloskarwadi (Near Sangali) and Karad which was arranged with the help of Senior CA. Anant Sathe (former MD in Kirloskar Group Company). It was really amazing experience to see how the world famous pumps are manufactured.

On 17th June we had two educational visits to NSE and WIRC both at BKC, Mumbai. Because of overwhelming requests from students we took permission for 100 students to visit NSE which was originally for only 30 students. At NSE, we got to know how the Cash and Derivative market both work. We have also decided to have seminar on stock market in Pune itself for the better knowledge of you all WICASA members. Later on we visited WIRC building. The visit WIRC building was really very valuable as Hon. Chairman WIRC CA. Sunit Patodia and Hon. Secretary WIRC CA. Shushrut Chitale both guided all the participants and also connected the students with the concerned

department officers at WIRC. We also toured the whole WIRC building. The reading rooms and library facilities which are available at BKC were really impressive and we will try making such facilities available even in our own city. Mean while I request you to make the best use of reading room facility which is available at Appa Balwant Chowk.

The five days workshop which we had on personality development was appreciated by the all the participants. Like other facilities, even this was made available to students at very much subsidized rate. If you want more such kind of workshops, then please do write or text any of the Pune - WICASA managing committee members.

Friends, if you want to study well, you must have good health. Keeping the importance of heath in mind we also went for Sinhgad Trek in the month of June and we will like to arrange many more such treks which can add health and fun to our lives.

I request all to come forward and participate as per your convenience in various WICASA activities and also as co-ordinators/ MOC. To be in touch of WICASA activities please press like button of Pune WICASA Facebook page which is created with the sole motto of keeping all of you updated of the WICASA activities.

With Warm Regards to All

VISIT REPORT - Kirloskarwadi! Name: Karan D. ChandwaniRegistration no.: WRO0531450

A DAY WELL SPENT NATIONAL STOCK EXCHANGE! Kairas Ruzbeh KapadiaRegistration no.: WRO0510737

I am very much glad to share with you the report of yet another industrial visit which was an opportunity for all of us not only to learn something new but also to interact with many new people and develop new ideas. Many students wanted to be a part of it and that is where I felt that this visit had to be much more than a mere industrial visit, and yes, at the end, I felt it was.

Full of excitement and rains all over the city, we started our journey. CA Anant Sathe Sir, Former Vice-President of Corporate Finance and Accounts, Kirloskar Brothers Limited (KBL) accompanied us all the way and guided us throughout. Before Kirloskarwadi, we first visited the Karad Projects and Motors Limited (KPML), a wholly owned subsidiary of Kirloskar Brothers Limited at Karad. In the year 2013, Hematic Motors Private Limited amalgamated with Kirloskar Constructions and Engineers Limited. Further the name of Kirloskar Constructions and Engineers Limited has been changed to Kirloskar Projects and Motors Limited.

Mr. Ravindra Samant, Managing Director, Kirloskar Projects and Motors Limited and the KPML Team presented to us a brief introduction very clearly, which was then followed by an overview of all that happens inside the factory. Forming few groups, we visited the premises. The KPML team briefly explained to us various processes, starting from production, which ended at packing. KPML also offered us snacks as a token of love.

The next one was Kirloskarwadi at Sangli! Impatiently we all moved towards it. Kirloskar Brothers Limited welcomed us with delicious lunch. Further, the Kirloskar Brothers Limited General Manager,

Mr. Prakash Pudale and his very dedicated team took us through the glorious

journey of Kirloskar Brothers Limited. Kirloskarwadi, named after the founder, Mr. Laxmanrao Kirloskar, who once dreamt of building up his own industry, who did it then, more than 100 years ago, which has truly been inspiring people all over since. This was followed by a short discussion on how can we, the Chartered Accountants fraternity help in bringing many new ideas and transparency in the industry. Lucky we are that we all got an opportunity to visit and learn practically about the second oldest industrial township in India. Kirloskar Brothers Limited mainly produces motor pumps and are the suppliers of the same globally. Kirloskar Brothers Limited is spread in many directions and has been growing rapidly. Not to forget the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives that it has always been initiating for the welfare of the society.

We concluded this wonderful journey here and hence I conclude the report. Students who participated were very thankful tothe Pune Western India Chartered Accountants Students Association (WICASA) and the Pune Branch of WIRC of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) to arrange such a beautiful visit for us.

Everyone would surely like to be a part of many more such visits

Albert Einstein always said, I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious. And I feel that all this wouldn't have happened if all of us weren't CURIOUS.

Waiting for many more

It was 17th June 2015, and we were at BandraKurla Complex. We left Pune Branch at around 6am for one of the most anticipated visits of our life. None of us had ever imagined that we would get a chance to visit one of the most important financial institutions of India. The sky was overcast when we left and there was every chance of rain, however all students made it to the branch on time without any incident. The bus journey was full of joy and excitement as we interacted with many new people around us. A small halt on the way to freshen up, have a snack and we were back on the road to continue the long drive. During the last half an hour of our journey as we enteredthe BandraKurlaComplex, it was quite imminent that the anticipation was growing, people were quite in the bus for the first time in those immediately past hours. All I can say is everyone was curious.

At last the wait was over, there it was becoming larger and larger as the bus was drawing nearer towards the building. Surrounded by The Income Tax Department,The Securities and Exchange Board of India,The Reserve Bank of India, and various other corporates, this was all new to most of us, I mean standing in the vicinity of such edifices was absolutely exhilarating. As the bus came to a halt we got down and made our way to the imposing structure.

On entering we were greeted and escorted towards the auditorium, but not before being treated to some tea and snacks. We were given a brief explanation about the history of the stock exchange and how the systems of trade have developed and are still developing, also on how the NSE has taken up various initiatives to educate today's youth in capital markets. A couple of our friends too took the stand to give us a brief idea of their experience in

trading. We were informed about the way the markets operate, the importance of derivatives, the way the pre market session functions and how orders aretrading terminals so as to get a brief idea of how orders are placed/cancelled/modified. As lunch time approached we made our way out, however how can we leave without a small photo session to remember our visit. CHEEZZZEEE.

We then made our way to the Western Indian Regional Centre at the BandraKurlaComplex where we were welcomed to enjoy a scrumptious buffet. After lunch we were asked to take a seat at the branch auditorium for a small seminar and a query solving session where some important view points were shared by many of us. At the end we took a small tour of the branch by visiting each floor and meeting other senior members working there just to get an idea of the basic functioning of the branch.

By the time the markets came to a close we were all ready to make our way back home and looking forward to another four hours of excitement after such a splendid day. Fun and frolics continued on our journey back home. We returned at around 9pm, yet everyone was full of energy and in spite of being late still took the time to share their experience on what they observed with each other. All one can say is that we really enjoyed ourselves and at the same time gained a lot of valuable knowledge which will definitely prove to be of great value in the years to come. All of us would want to be a part of many such visits and I hope that Pune Branch along with the WICASA team plan much more for us.

Alls well that ends well!!
