EDUCATION WEEKOur annual Open Day was held yesterday as part of Education Week. Thank you to all parents and family members who were able to attend and visit the classrooms. The children had fun organising their games and raised $91.00 for Stewart House which was a great effort. Thanks also to parents and grandparents who donated $283.00 towards new books for our school library. Thank you to the P and C for supplying our BBQ lunch and supporting our Open Day.

COLES SPONSORSHIPWe are extremely fortunate to again have the support of Coles Albury store as part of their Henty Machinery Field Days stand. The Coles Albury store last year donated $4000 to the school from the funds raised at the HMFD. Store Manager Andrew McGrath rang me this morning to say that he would again be donating some of the proceeds of his stand to us as he realised how appreciative and valued the support was to our small school.

We are extremely grateful to Andrew for this generous gesture.

SCHOOL BANKINGSchool banking with the Bendigo Bank has started here at school. If your child is not yet involved and is interested, please contact Julianne at the office.

125 YEAR CELEBRATIONSMost invitations have been sent out for our 125 year anniversary. We are still sending some out as new names and addresses are forwarded to us.

Thank you to everyone concerned in the organisation so far.

RECORDERS AT THE MARKETPLACEOn Monday 1st August Nikita Maclean, Chloe Scholz and Joseph Clancy performed in front of a large crowd at the Wagga Marketplace. The trio were part of a group of Riverina students performing for the official opening of Education Week. All three of the students performed admirably and made us all very proud.
