COAL MINING

PT DAHLIA BIRU, established in 1990 owns a coal mining

lease located within the administrative jurisdiction of

South Barito Regency in Central Kalimantan Province.

PT. DAHLIA BIRU currently holds an exploitation permit as

well as a coal hauling and selling permit.

Surface Miners 2200 SM

The Wirtgen 2200 SM is the “all-rounder”

for soft and medium hard rock. The cut

material is either loaded to the front via a

large conveyor system consisting of primary

and discharge conveyor or is windrowed

behind the machine. With an operating

weight of almost 53 short tons, the Surface

Miner 2200 SM can achieve a cutting depth

of 11 inches over a total width of 7.2 feet

in soft to medium hard rock

To date some 1,105 Ha at the south eastern portion of this lease had been the

subject of exploration activities involving outcrop mapping, borehole drilling,

quality sampling. Data collected was validated, encoded for computer-aided

design and processing, and correlated to come up with a seam geometry and

quality model. The volume and quality of the data are found to be sufficient

to allow a resources estimation compliant with the requirements of the JORC

Code and the Australian Guidelines for Reporting and estimating Inventory

Coal, Coal Resources and Coal Reserves.

PT. DAHLIA BIRU has completed land acquisition for stockpile and jetty

measuring 40 Ha and 98 Ha for hauling road.
