This is episode 2 for March. While I endeavour to scour the
Interweb, our Branch website and Newsletter for motoring events,
I’m only human. If there’s an event you know of then send me an
email and if it arrives in time, I’ll add it to the list.
For rides and events that crop up at short notice shove it on the
Canterbury Branch Facebook page or flick it to Colin at
[email protected] to post on the website.

Saturday 16th. An urgent plea from Bob Tomkins
Help, help yes HELP wanted / needed Please, PLEASE
It's getting very late to organize this years’ ANZAC Ride. I'm the Coordinator for this fundraiser.
With help from Joanne, we have made contact with the event ‘Authorities’, i.e. Police, Mall
Owners, etc. Dick Gurney has got involved with his contacts, which is great, thanks Dick.
So things are starting to move and fall into place.
We need to get most things sorted this weekend as there's been no positions / responsibilities
filled.
Joanne and I are putting on a BBQ lunch, at 10 Armil Place, Lincoln, THIS SATURDAY (16th
March) at 1pm.
Any person who can help in anyway, please come to this informal event, we've got most of the
meat sorted, if you could bring a salad and drinks would be greatly appreciated.
We need fresh ideas, additional sponsors, more advertising, feet on the ground and help in any
way. Don't be shy, come along bring your partner, involve yourselves in this great event.
I'm proud of the ‘Branch’. We work hard to support St John's giving them over $70,000 for special
projects and it can only keep growing. Hopefully we'll never need their services, but it's nice to
think we are helping them to save lives.
Cheers and hope to see you Saturday
