Technology and Robustness

The Samco drill 4800 is the ideal machine for the large farmer or contractor wishing to have machine to work with all the technology of a larger machine. A roller in the front of the drill allows the seed to be sown into a firm seed bed with a constant depth of sowing. This roller is also the drive train for the seeding elements. Equipped with Optima Kverneland pneumatic seed unit, the drill offers a very good quality of sowing regardless the type and size of the seed.

Two mechanical selectors can be adjusted to reduce doubling of smaller seeds on the disc and allow larger seeds to be sown without any changes to the seed unit. The cab mounted seed computer, monitors the number of seeds being sow on each unit which is displayed to the operator via the in cab display. Sensors fitted to each seed unit of the machine allow the operator to know when a unit is empty or blocked by sounding an alarm.

Information provided by the computer: - Seed rate per ha for each seeding unit - The number of ha per day - The number of total hectares - The actual speed per hour - Area per hour - The number of hours worked

A quick and easy adjustment of the seeding rate can be done to maximize productivity.

Two track irradiators are fitted to the 4800 SAMCO drill . They are positioned to prevent soil compaction in the seed row.

The SAMCO 4800 drill is equipped with a front tank of 1200L This tank includes: - A flushing tank of 120L - hand rinse 15 liter - Mixing pot for adding the herbicide to the front tank - A valve for self filling using the machines P.T.O driven pump

The SAMCO drill 4800 is equipped with a spray system controlled automatically by a computer located in the cab. It takes into account the forward working speed to regulate and spray the correct volume per hectare programmed. A progress of 0.2 km / h speed is required to trigger spraying. Regulating the volume starts as soon as the forward speed reaches 3.5 km / h. This is necessary to ensure even application of the volume of herbicide and application of the entire surface to reduce the risk of weed growth.

The SAMCO Spraylight computer is designed to make the simplest possible operation for the user. Several functions are managed directly by the computer: - Management of spray volume - Management of Ha worked and total daily - Management of herbicide volume remaining in the front

Simplicity

To facilitate the work of the operator, the drill is provided with a walkway for filling the seed hoppers. The drill is equipped with road lights required to meet the standards on the road as well as LED lights for night work.

Accurate sowing on side slopes

The Hill side adjustment is fitted to the 4 row drill to maintain optimum laying of the film even on sides of slopes

Hydraulic Three hydraulic valves allow easy use of the drill: - Lift / Lower the film metering units - Lift / Lower the markers - Movement of the hill side unit

Each film unit can be lifted / lowered independently through the Spraylight terminal to make the use of the drill easier in small part on fields or in angled parts to maximise the field coverage.

The film metering units on the SAMCO machine are designed to lay the film on the soil and to cover the edges securely. This prevents wind damage to the film, even while travelling at high speeds, to maintain daily output. Each roll of film covers two rows of maize corn. With the “Easy Roll Loading System,” it allows the operator to change the rolls of film with ease. Spring loaded roll holder units place the new roll in the correct position. Spring tensioned wheels allow the film to be fed into position and to maintain this position while working, eliminating the need of the operator to re- adjust the roll during operation.
