Women will be Embracing THEIR GREATNESS AT FESTIVAL TO BE HELD IN THE FLAGTOWN SECTION OF HILLSBOROUGH, NJ on October 25, 2008 10 am to 5 pm

Flagtown (Hillsborough), NJ – Renewing your spirit and nourishing your soul will be the focus of a Women’s Festival "Women Embracing Our Greatness" presented by SuZen, MSW Owner of The Life Coaching Center of Somerville, NJ and Janet Long, Massage Therapist and owner of In Balance Center for Living Spa in the Flagtown Section of Hillsborough, NJ on Saturday, October 25, 2008 from 10 am to 5 pm at the spa located at 230 South Branch Road. Join us for a day of celebration, healing & peace for women, by women!! Women ages 16 and up are invited. The keynote speaker will be internationally renowned Master Channeler & Intuitive Mentor Sheryl Blumenthal (www.littleone.us). The topic of her workshop will be "Connecting With Our Angels." "Powerful You" Women’s Network, Bridgewater area facilitator, and a board-certified Psychiatrist Nan Goldstein will present the opening ceremony.

Besides facilitating a healer’s roundtable, SuZen will also present a women’s healing circle fire ceremony. "The ceremony will celebrate who we are as women which is what the festival is all about," explained Suzen. Ms Long will participate in the healer’s roundtable as owner of the Spa. A member of the Iwa Lewa Heritage Ensemble, Rutgers University Dance Instructor Audrey Davis will perform African Dance. "As a woman, African dance sets my spirit free," exclaims Ms. Davis.

In many cultures red is a symbolic color of strength or female power. Inspired by Anita Diamant’s novel, "The Red Tent" the festival will include a Red Tent gathering. The novel explores the growing movement of women around the nation to find a remembrance of women’s culture through creating Red Tent experiences in their communities. The tent itself is rooted in an ancient Judeo-Christian-Islamic history of women's gathering spaces. Women used to go to the red tent while they were giving birth or menstruating because the men in their communities feared contamination from these biological processes. The red tents then became community spaces where women went to learn from one another, to be in community, and above all, to celebrate life. Women will have the opportunity to connect with other women and reconnect with themselves and with their cyclical nature both within their bodies and their psyches through celebration, ritual and yoga. Although not religious in nature we believe that everyone who walk away at the end of the festival will feel connected to something greater than themselves and feel nourished spiritually.



Attendees will also have the chance to participate in a drumming circle with Sharon Silverstein the founder and president of Living At Peace, LLC. Sharon uses unique methods like drumming circles and her original songs to help women have deeper, stronger relationships.

Other workshops and events taking place at the festival include meditation, raw foods, nutritional counseling, past life regression, hypnosis, emotional freedom technique (EFT), The Journey, working with spirits and generations, Psychics, vendors, $20 massages and more.

Registration for the festival before October l, 2008 will be $35 and after that date, $45. The festival fee includes lunch with beverage and dessert.

Fire Ceremony Healing Circle is held to honor us as women, in this circle we discuss our issues, meditate and learn from each other, while learning about our own inner strengths. The circle will take place around a fire. The fire represents a Women's passion, energy and life.

EFT this amazing technique was created by Gary Craig. EFT is based on a new discovery regarding the body's subtle energies. Simply stated, it is an emotional version of acupuncture, except needles aren't necessary. Instead, you stimulate well established energy meridian points on your body by tapping on them with your fingertips. The process is easy to memorize and is portable so you can do it anywhere.
