Envirohub’s Sustainable Backyards programme is celebrating its 11th year. Since its foundation in 2006, a programme of events has been organised annually during March, throughout the Bay of Plenty, to promote sustainability. Last year 39 organisations worked with Envirohub to put on more than 80 events, which were attended by over 6000 people. The Sustainable Backyards programme continues to grow and is now widely recognised and anticipated by local organisa-tions and individuals as a fun and effective way to promote sustainability initiatives and enhance awareness and understanding around environmental and lifestyle choices.

This year there are more than 90 events to choose from Bay of Plenty wide from the 1st March to 2nd April. Choose from an array of workshops, talks, festivals, movie nights and walks. Connect, Learn and be Inspired during March towards a more sustainable lifestyle.

The Tauranga Environment Centre Charitable Trust was formed in 2001 as a small community based centre. Today we are known as Envirohub BOP™, a regional environment centre, based in the Historic Village, Tauranga. We are committed to sustainability, restoring the environment and building strong resilient well connected communities. We provide independent environmental information, education, and advice throughout the Bay of Plenty.
