Based on the popular City & Guilds iPac awardiPac - Individual Profile in Active Citizenship

“Will we see yourcommunity groupcelebrating”

The City & Guilds Individual Profile in Active Citizenship award is exciting and new. It is an empowering learning tool which people of all ages and backgrounds can use to do something they've always wanted to do, but lacked the confidence, knowledge and support to proceed.

Proud City has developed a breakthrough in accreditation for people who want to have their community activity (active citizenship) recog-nised. This award is called an 'Individual Profile in Active Citizen-ship' or iPAC for short. Now a City and Guilds qualification, the iPAC course offers certificated units that are relevant to a wide and useful range of active learning for active citizenship activities/ Proud City is the National Centre for the "Individual Profile in Active Citizenship" (iPAC) and is the primary developer of this City & Guilds qualification. How does it work?

The profile is divided into five themes, and each theme contains a number of units relating to it. They are grouped as follows:

Theme 1 Your community (all in this section are mandatory for the full award) Theme 2 Taking up a challenge Theme 3 Celebrating difference Theme 4 Participating in a responsible society Theme 5 Heart and mind decisions

Learners choose up to 10 units from across the themes and are guided through their choices and their journey by a tutor or mentor
