    1. Particulars:a) Title:Mutual Coupling Compensation in the design of

    Large Phased Array Antennas

) !ain Fiel" of Stu"y:Electrical Engineering

    c) Specific #jecti$es:The project is aimed to study theeffects of mutual coupling in large phased arrays aswell as proposing a mathematical model. Simulation andprototyping of such arrays will also be done to erifythe proposed model.

") !etho"ology: The project will be carried out bybrea!ing it down in the following tas!s

    i. Study the mutual coupling in phased arrays.

ii. "eelop a mathematical model of linear phased

    arrays including mutual coupling effects.

iii. Simulation based study of arious element types

suitable for S#band high power phased array radar

    i. "esign and simulation of noel element for S#band

    phased array radar.

. Simulation of complete antenna with noel

    elements.

    i. Prototyping of the linear array with noel

    elements.
