Page 4: Project findings and recommendations

Surprises along the way Tele-Tracking System • Canned reports in use• Theme among high end users

– no time to create custom reports and or lack of training to create reports.

• Impression relationship with vendor went South when other departments added to soft-ware

• Limited training received

IT support• Working from their homes• Feel over burdened• Tele-Tracking report

enhancement not a high priority

• Resistance • Lack of information regarding

reports built by the vendor and if reports what department needs

Page 5: Project findings and recommendations

Surprises along the way Supervision of Patient Transporters • Tele-Tracking feature to page

supervision for delays. Job refused, etc not being utilized.

Patient Transporters• Signing into the system up to

15 minutes after punching in for work.

• Using generic codes for delays.

• Breaks occur during high volume time

• Some return from breaks and lunch later than allotted

Page 6: Project findings and recommendations

Financial Impact Delayed Available Status • Employee is paid after

“punching in” • Delay of signing in by 15 mins

equals lost productivity hours of the department

Returning from break and lunch later than expected• Patients are delayed to

appointments• If appointment is rescheduled

this may impact our length of stay and reimbursement received
