POST EVENT REPORT

A project fair was organized on 29th April, 2016 at Laxmi Institute of

Technology Sarigam premises for the students of final year to show case

their skills and talent. All the final year students from Civil Engineering,

Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering presented their pro-

jects in the form of posters and models. Distinguished guests from differ-

ent industries and institutions were invited to witness the event and

enlighten the students with their expert suggestions and views. The exhi-

bition was given the form of project presentation competition and all the

projects were evaluated by a committee formed. Based on the recommen-

dations of the evaluating committee and the feed back of the guests, best

three projects from each department were rewarded.

Feedback

All the dignitaries, invited guests and the participants were very happy about

the organiation of the event. They mentioned that LIT has again taken a lead by

conducting such a project fair. Some of the important comments are as follows:

Innovative changes in the materials used in concrete is very good innovation

that I liked as a structural designer. Use of innovative materials in construction

The projects made by the students were good and innovative. We require more

students working on the industry based projects than the user defined. Need

Vishwakarma Yojana teams have done a very good job, more number of

teams compared to last year have participated this time and more villages

It was a refreshing experience to examine the project work prepared by stu-

dents at Diploma level for the first time. The students had thoroughly re-

searched for their projects and good concepts were presented by them. -Mr. Bhairav Thakur, Asst. Prof., Civil Department.

We would like to thank all our participants including students, Faculties,

Placements cell, HOD’s, industry experts and academicians to make this

event a huge success. Especially we would thank Gujarat Technological

University for bringing this innovative idea of conducting the project exhibi-

tion which gives the students the platform to showcase their innovation,

creativity, talent and job.
