Located in central Japan along the Pacific coast, the city of Nagoya has a population of 2.3 million people, making it the country’s third largest metropolitan area. It is a hub for Japanese business and industry and, therefore, a vital part of the country’s economic strength. Corporate offices, manufacturing plants and research and design centers, as well as over 100 global enterprises operate in the Greater Nagoya area. Nagoya boasts a network of 6 subway lines, 3 railway companies and bus lines that enable easy travel throughout the city. Downtown Nagoya (Sakae) is a fifteen minute subway ride from the Nagoya University campus. By Shinkansen bullet train, Tokyo is only 1.5 hours away while Kyoto is 40 minutes. Nagoya incorporates a vibrant urban setting and unique cultural heritage with a pleasant natural environment. The city is surrounded by mountains and sea providing outdoor and cultural activities throughout the year. Off-campus, students can sample regional cuisine (such as kishimen, misonikomi udon noodles, and miso katsu), discover traditional streetscapes, and visit historical sites such as Nagoya Castle and Atsuta Shrine.

名古屋大学短期日本語プログラム2019年夏季、2020年春季

　「名古屋大学短期日本語プログラム（NUSTEP）」は2週間集中の日本語プログラムです。優れた専門講師による日本語学習だけではなく、日本文化体験、日本企業見学、名古屋大学学生との交流など幅広いカリキュラムを用意しており、日本の文化・社会について理解が深められます。さらに名古屋大学担当講師による専門講義の受講やラボ見学などを通じて、名古屋大学の優れた教育、研究活動を体験することもできます。本プログラム修了時には、本学より修了証が発行されます。

The Nagoya University Short-Term Japanese Language Program (NUSTEP) offers two weeks of intensive Japanese classes. Participants will join specialized lectures by faculty and visit laboratories on campus. We aim to promote understanding of Japanese culture and society. The program also provides on and off-campus activities such as cultural excursions, field trips, exchanges and discussions with Nagoya University students. All participants receive a certificate upon completion of the program.

参加資格

1 名古屋大学と学術交流協定を締結する大学に在籍中の正規学生（学部生）で、なおかつ2 中級（日本語能力試験 N3・N2 レベル、CEFR A2・B1）以上の日本語能力をもつ者。

Qualification

1. Applicants should be currently enrolled as a degree-seeking undergraduate student in a university with an academic exchange agreement with Nagoya University.

2. Applicants should have an Intermediate or Advanced level of Japanese proficiency (JLPT N1/N2/N3 or CEFR A2/B1/B2/C1/C2)カリキュラム

Provided by Nagoya University参加費

6万円（宿泊費、一部の食事代、プログラム期間中の保険含む）＊往復の渡航費、滞在費（食費、日用品等）は含みません。

Participation Fee

60,000 JPN YEN (includes housing, a part of food expenses and insurance for the period of the program)

* Participants are responsible for travel expenses to/from Nagoya and expenses such as food and daily necessities.
